Just as good as I remembered from over the summer when Orlando opened it in an '01 CA Cab. horizontal tasting. Deep blood red/black in color. Notes of melted licorice, creosote, bitter chocolate, espresso grounds, sweet dark blue/blackberry compote, and toasty vanilla oak. Loaded with baby fat and glycerin. Plenty of ripe tannin as well. Full bodied and a long opulent finish. It's only fault, for me, was the 16% alcohol. There is no heat noticeable, but by the second glass, you sure feel it! 97 pts.
