I have decided it is time for change. My husband's battle with the big C kicked his ass. While he is doing well, it has aged him, and I want to be able to spend time with him, cook at home, garden, and a bit of travel. I've decided life is more important than work, no matter how much I love my job. Fortunately, my brothers, who are my partners are ok with my decision.

We are selling a 26 room Inn, located just outside Yosemite National Park. It has an 80 seat seasonal restaurant, pool and beautiful gardens. There is a small 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin as well as a small staff apartment.

The staff is well established, hard working and loyal. The business has been quite profitable and I'm hoping someone with a fresh eye and new enthusiasm will take it to a new level.

We are just in the starting phase, meeting with potential brokers and possible with a Property Management company that will take over all of my duties, allowing us to still own the business.

It truly is a labor of love, long hours, good friends, in one of the most beautiful areas of the world.

I am willing to stay on for an additional year to train any new owners.

Our asking price is $3M.

Our website is www.MyYosemiteTrip.com

Being a part of this very special place has provided some of the best moments of my life, and I know I will miss it and the people desperatly, but I am looking forward to the next chapter of my life.

Thanks for asking, he is doing great! Although I think he is a little nervous about having me around much more often. I'm still trying to talk him into moving to Rome for a few months. I think he is weakening. Smile

+1. Cool
Escrow has closed! It's been a tough week, between counting every fork, plate, glass, basically every thing on a wall, in a drawer or on the floor.

My brothers and I gave each employee a card thanking them for their dedication and hard work, along with a bonus check. The hardest part was spending time with each one as I personally thanked them as I gave them their envelope. Each time, either myself or the employee broke into tears, I pretty much spent the whole day with puffy eyes.

It has been an emotional week with little sleep, but the new owner has the same light in his eyes that I did when I took over 11 years ago, so I know the business and her employees are good hands.

It has been an amazing ride, and I look forward to whatever the future will bring to my wonderful husband and myself.
justme,
We don't know each other but your story has been very touching. As hard and emotional as leaving must be it sounds as though it will be a great journey going forward. The people that are friends will always be there for you.
Tell your husband not to fret over having you around all the time, my husband of 31 yrs & I have worked 24/7 for 10 years together and haven't killed each other (yet). Wink
There will be many new doors that open for both of you together and that's what it is all about.
Live, Love & Laugh ~ Best wishes
