Things people say in tasting notes

hah that was pretty awesome.

piano shift, i'm going to go on a limb and say that guy probably works at a random restaurant and they store their bottles on top of the kitchen shelf above the range.

otherwise it's kinda hard to be drinking the same 2nd bottle of comtes 2006 over a 4 day period.

Maybe I'm getting old, but AlL thOsE!!! raN#?!Dom caps and improper punctuations have made any sort of comprehension rather impossible.

After all of the below, I really wanted to comment on his TN with a clip of the Monty Python Restaurant Sketch... the one that ends with "Lucky we didn't say anything about the dirty knife."

It started with this TN:

https://www.cellartracker.com/...19&iNote=7153640

He has posted over a dozen TNs for the 2006 Comtes de Champagne, but it was this one that led me to comment on it:

https://www.cellartracker.com/...19&iNote=7262350

And after all of that, he posted another note. This was actually two separate tasting notes, and one was simply a rant about people commenting on his tasting notes. You'll see that Eric commented on it, combined the two notes into one, and requested that he limit himself to one TN per day.

https://www.cellartracker.com/...19&iNote=7263974

And he posted yet another after that:

https://www.cellartracker.com/...19&iNote=7266428

Sadly a classic case of pissing in the wind. While I applaud your stated goal, all you got was the blowback.

When Tasting Notes look more like RaNsOM NOteS, you're playing chess with a pigeon, my friend.

"Even if you win the argument, he'll just shit on the board."

I backed away pretty quickly - as soon as his buddy started accusing me of "disrespecting god".  Crazy how saying "but it's not old" set them both off.

It's kind of funny when I look back on when I thought 8 years was old for a wine (and there's an ocean of wine that fits that profile). But it can be hard to tell who holds a Napacat-style of off-kilter views versus just being trolls looking for a reaction.

I'd like to simultaneously hold a $3k bottle of wine and the glass I'm drinking it from in the same hand for a second like he did. I also want to be able to smell floral tannins. That guy is a legend in my book, but a Kincaid painting might work better on the wall above his serving tray.
