The Mandalorian

Not yet.  I broke down and got Disney+, so I probably will at some point.

But (please don't throw anything at me) I'm so backed up on TV log that I haven't even started The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel yet.  (Yes, I know.  I know.  It is on the to-do list.)

Looks like my ex-wife and I are quitting this series with the third season. However the first two are great and still worth watching. May peek in again at season three just to finish it, but in no hurry.

I'm with you SPO in that it is an enjoyable show.  We watch it as a family every weekend.  My wife, who isn't a Star Wars fan, has really liked it.  I too hope they continue to make these off-shoots.  I loved the Solo movie and Rogue One as well...probably more than the newest Star Wars Episodes (though I'm not seeing the next one until Tuesday, so that may change).  

The production values are very high, in my opinion.  Baby Yoda has become the latest Meme craze.  Not thrilled with the storyline (or lack thereof), but I think The Mandalorian is a nice addition.  As was Rogue One.

Winetarelli, how are you holding back? We should throw some baby Yoda memes at you.

AZWIESE, one of the characters in the show reminds me of one of your family members.

Rogue One was a masterpiece, Rothko. I wish I watched Mandalorian marathon style rather than waiting for the last three episodes to trickle in. I think overall the show would be better viewed that way.

We’re watching as a family.  My kids love baby Yoda.  They’ve got the song they sing.   Good stuff but agree there no real plot to it.

I agree with you.  I was really amazed when I saw the movie.  It felt much more like the original Star Wars, it helped explain a major plot hole from the original movie (why did the Death Star have such a massive design flaw), and best of all: EVERYONE DIED.  

Seriously, every single one of the main protagonists died.  How many times do you see a movie like that?  The courage of the writing staff and director to kill off the main characters rather than try to give a wishy-washy survival, where you'd wonder "why didn't these guys show up in the next movie then?"  And it strengthens the sacrifices that were made to get the plans to the Rebels; you really understand what they gave up to do it (as opposed to just saying "many Bothans died" like they do in Return of the Jedi), so you become more invested in the destruction of the Death Star.

I walked out of the theater thinking I'd seen the best Star Wars film since "Empire."

I agree with Rogue One and Empire being the best of the group.  I'd put New Hope (IV) there for the Top 3.

Just binge watched it. Very good. My second favorite Star Wars thing(movie, show, stand alone, whatever) after Rogue one. I have not liked any of the new episode movies but this was fun.

The last two episodes (especially the last) were the best of the series. If this is the quality that Disney+ is going to be putting out for its Marvel and StarWars shows then we're in for a treat.

I'm currently watching the 3rd season. To be honest, I was looking forward to watching it, I even found the tutorial on how to reset my Android tv device beforehand, but I'm a little disappointed. I liked the 1st and the 2nd seasons more. And I'm afraid the next season will also not be great.
