On Saturday March 24 I put together a Sanguis wine dinner that Matthias Pippig, founder and winemaker.

The 5-course dinner featured 5 Sanguis wines all rated 92 and above will be at Seasons 52. Plus a special surprise, an outstanding Pinot.

Also confirmed, Sanguis will be pouring from magnums. As it is said, 'nothing parties like a magnum"

I have seen the menu, truly amazing, plus 5 great Sanguis wines -

Upon Arrival - Chef’s Amuse
1st Course – Spinach Salad (Spring strawberries, pea tendrils, toasted almonds, Gorgonzola, white balsamic vinaigrette)

2nd Course – Kona Crusted Lollipop Lamb Loin (Yukon mashed potatoes, asparagus, 15-year aged balsamic)

3rd Course – Caramelized Grilled Sea Scallops (lemon risotto, English peas)

4th Course – Wood-Grilled Filet Mignon (trio of roasted mushrooms, red wine sauce, heritage carrots)

5th Course – Strawberry Rhubarb Cheesecake (strawberry rhubarb compote, butter cookie, fresh mint)
