I really like this wine. As for the 2012 Brunello, did you pick up a couple testers for evaluation?

I haven't tasted any 2012 BdM yet, so yes those bottles of Barbi and Frescobaldi will be my testers. That said, I've always found those 2 to be consistently excellent wines. Even though I bought these I still doubt I will buy many 12's. Certainly not the ones which need age and/or have become pricey (Fuligni, Ciacci, Il Poggione, etc...).

And speaking of consistent, yes the Dido is an excellent wine. The 2015 didn't disappoint.

I looked at the East Block offer but it was pricey to start with, and then there was shipping to NY at $50 for 3 bottles. It worked out to $192 USD/bottle. Factor in CDN exchange and that was a deal breaker for me.

I have a 2001 which I'm not even looking at yet.

To celebrate my 90th birthday in a couple decades.

Hopefully, we'll be standing side-by-side!

I'm sure a few will eventually find their way.
Found a mom and pop liquor store with some well cellared gems.
2001 Beaux Freres Pinot
2001 Staglin Cabernet
2001 Forman Cabernet
1996 Mondavi Reserve cab
1997 lava cap stromberg Cabernet
The Staglin was the most expensive at $110.
Sorry, Vinolocity- I'm not telling you where the store is.
The same store is selling 2014 Dominus for $400- go figure.

Always fascinated by the differing palates. If you're referring to the Turley PS, im of the opinion that it's far superior to their Zins. Or had been in my experience. I haven't bought Larry's wines in the last 3-4 vintages.

Never cared for the 96 Mondavi but the 01 Staglin and Forman should be real good!

Had some money left after finding out that you didn't need to buy very much Yellowtail?

We all know it had absolutely nothing to do with me or Yellowtail. I didnt put the poll up nor did I have anything to do with it being put up. It was put up by another forumite to prove a point. That point being the majority of the people on this forum would not share a glass with you under any circumstance even if that was a glass of '59 La Tache.

And for the record I was winning when the thread was taken down anyway

Ok I really dont care as it had nothing to do with me. Do you have any idea how pathetic you sound?

How bout this...You won by one. Feel better???? how about you won by 2??? feel even better???lets make it 5!!!you must be feeling great now. Bottom line put anyone else on a poll with same 2 bottles and you on the Yellowtail. Your not getting a single vote unless you vote for yourself.
