My brother indicated that he was in Israel visiting his daughter on Oct. 28, when Israel moved its clocks back 1 Hour to return to standard time. Thus, he got an "extra" hour of sleep. Then, he flew home, returning in time for this past weekend, when we moved our clocks back and he got another “extra” hour of sleep.He should be well rested.

If I recall correctly when we lived in NYC all those years ago it would get dark by 4:30 in December. Gets dark even earlier here.....
I recall my first Northern clock-back afternoon when I was a First Year in college at Brown. 4:30 and iI was in the Science Library which towers over Providence - watched the sun set and it get dark and I was flummoxed by what was happening. Never recalled it getting dark so early in Alabama when I was growing up

Singapore is right on the equator and is one of the nicest and most interesting cities on earth. We visited it often when we lived in Asia and would continue to do so if it wasn't so far away!

Probably 2001 Suduirat sauternes. I've been jonesing for a sauternes for ages.
I"m at a function at the Albany Club with Steven Harper and Joe Oliver (previous Conservative Prime Minister and Minister of Finance). It will be an interesting place to be stuck to my phone!

Pretty amazing how the President's party annually gets hammered in the midterms. Only twice since 1910 has the incumbent's party won seats in the House and Senate. In the last 21 midterms, the President's party has lost an average of 30 seats in the House and 4 in the Senate.
