Fortunately, the law says you are wrong.
FWIW, I’ve subscribed to both Wine Spec and Decanter and Decanter is the one I chose to continue with. It’s a better all-around magazine IMO whereas WS seemed mainly focused on US production. Then again, US wine makes up less than 7% of my cellar so perhaps it makes sense.

You must love JLC timepieces.
I've seen their art deco styled ones, they're very nice. But I can still find working originals for much, much less than their prices.

I must have missed something. Sorry.
JLC came out in 1931 for the British polo players in India. Cartier came out with the Santos in 1911 after creating the ‘ wrist watch’ for Santos Dumont in 1905 for his flight.
Which originals are you referring to?
TIA!

Well there are two prominent Trump-loving trolls, a regular poster on this thread and another who has gone into hiding but has posted here on rare occasions long ago. Could be one of those.

I email back and forth with Board-O occasionally. He's fine, just tired of the forum. He and his wife just celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary. Since he's in Palm Beach County, FL, where the virus is pretty aggressive and since he and his wife are in the 70+ years old age range, their quarantining carefully.
I don't agree with Board-O politically and he's a dreaded Yankee fan, but he's pretty nice in person if one can avoid political discussions.

Of course there is something wrong with donating to Trump, unless you want the undermining of the rule of law, destruction of democratic institutions, and imposition of autocracy to continue. In other words, unless you are Russia, China and other countries looking to do American harm. No one who understands how politics, governance, and the interconnectedness of the world today works would want Trump to continue in power.
And if you haven't noticed, there is no longer a Republican Party, it is now the Trumpublican Party, as the only acid test is loyalty to the malevolent narcissist.

Exactly. Trump is not and has never been a republican. As a lifelong republican myself I never thought I would see tariffs again from the party as history has shown that Hoover and his tariffs ( Smoot Hawley) played a major role in the Great Depression. Also, the Federal Reserve has stated that as of September 2019 Trump’s tariffs cost the American consumer $7.1B in additional cost and displaced 100’s of thousands of American workers. Keep in mind, this doesn’t include the largest ever giveaway of taxpayers money Trump had to give farmers due to his idiocy on trade. Please keep in mind, this was free money ( taxpayers) that will never be repaid as opposed to the automobile industry which was repaid.
Also, Trump has added to the federal deficit like a drunk sailor prior to the pandemic. It seems the current Republican Party is all talk about deficit spending until they are in power. As a fiscal conservative I don’t have a clue who this party is anymore.
As you know, B, I can’t stand Hillary Clinton, but she has nothing to do with what this fraud and conman is doing and has done. Nothing.

You are an absolute idiot. A spreading a lye. No police officer punched the protester. The protester was hitting the cops forearm and he got shoved. Too bad.
Feel bad at all for the police Captain that was killed in St. Louis trying to protect a store from looters? That is what the protests should be about.

You are correct, flwino. As many on this forum know I have 3 people in my immediate family in law enforcement, 2 federal and one local. All said the same, you can arrest the individual if you like, but can’t crack his skull.
Justly fired and will cost taxpayers $$$ in lawsuit.

Napa does not know the difference between orange mans lies, VS Soap
BTW was a police paramedic for a few years in CT. Worked with officers all the time. We would have taken care of that man, even if there was an issue. There are things in life that transcend jobs, and do morally right.

You are a jerk. Hitting, shoving, tripping etc. are all the same. They accosted him. They injured him, they should have treated him. 7 years would provide enough time for them to think about what they did. Too bad the tax payers will have to pay for the lawsuit.

Ah, no. I was referring to the ones currently on their website for $5K+. You and the other collectors here are obviously much more knowledgeable about watches than I. I have a small collection of mainly Hamilton, Elgin, Bulova, & Gruen; things I can pick up from ebay. And truth be told, most are too small for the size of my wrist. I'm just an art deco-style enthusiast of watches, buildings, furnishings, and barware, and I just enjoy their look.
Completely random and off topic: Heard on SXM Margaritaville channel
People diet and exercise for years so they can look good naked. Tequila will do the same thing in one evening. Your choice.

(btw the bank bailout was repaid and the auto bailout was pretty much lost, since nobody wants to buy GM cars)
But the way this economy is run is just absolutely atrocious. The mishandling of everything in this economy has forced the fed and congress to pump almost 1/3 of last years GDP into the market. They borrowed from future generations just to pay for the idiot in chiefs fuck ups. Our kids and grand kids and their kids will forever be paying for all this debt that this current administration has borrowed.
Trump is on pace to double our total national deficit since when he took office. This year our yearly deficit will double the highest deficit ever recorded. Our next years deficit is projected to be the second highest deficit ever recorded.
This incompetent administration filled with nepotism and incapable hires, can only see at best 1 move forward, the rest of the world is playing us 3 or 4 moves ahead. The only thing this administration is good at, is lining their own pockets on behalf of tax payers.

No idea how the “y” got into lie... not important. Why does the man get to slap the cops forearm? A little, shove. No one care to address the police officer being killed? You all are a sad group. All think the same. Look how the social media idiots made Drew Brees and his wife cave. SAD!

Brees rightly acknowledged that he got his facts wrong as the kneeling never had anything to do with the flag or the military.
But why let facts get in the way when lies and misinformation allow Trump to further divide the country and turn Americans against one another?

Exactly. Drew understood he was obviously tone-deaf to the insight of the protest. It takes a person that has empathy in their heart and isn’t self absorbed to admit a mistake. Good for Drew who has exhibited numerous times he is a good guy.
People like the empty suit in the oval office and our resident empty suit fail to understand that it was suggested to Kap to kneel by a fellow NFL player and former Green Beret. All this “ I’m okay if the protest were peaceful “ is such BS. We saw and heard their redneck ignorant thinking.
The funny thing to me is Dump doesn’t give a shit. He is a coward who failed to serve when called. He just understands the mind of both his rednecks and envy focused tribe.
So, 80% of the country now thinks the US is out of control. Nice leadership from bunker boy. 80%. I didn’t think you could get 80% of America to even agree today is Monday. 🤣
Today is Monday? You sure?

Well I'm breaking what I'm doing, but I took bomba's suggestion even though he's no longer here. I am no longer going to respond to any of your political statements or posts. About anything else on the forum maybe. As I said I am fortunate to have no friends or family who are Trump supporters and I don't need to interact with one here either. It's been useful in understanding the twisted minds of his supporters and the information bubble they built around themselves, but I have no further interest to engage you in your world.

Straw man argument is my favorite logical fallacy because it's used by so many who don't realize they used a this form of logical fallacy. I believe it is said all logical fallacies are simply forms of non sequiturs. I am at a point in life where I will not engage in discussions with people who use logical fallacies, anecdotal evidence or hyperbole. And I've said that now at least a million times.
