If you don't know what is in the text book...how can you say you disagree with them not allowing it into the curriculum?

I'm going to go down the street from my office to visit the local elementary school.  Can't do it until next week. Hopefully, I will make it through security and I will check out our Maryland math texts for little kids.

It is the premise I am not agreeing with.  You don't need to teach Gender identity to K - 3rd grade kids.  I am not the one banning specific books.  You're just conflating the actual argument to try and make a point (which you certainly did not do).  Try again.

you didnt even see what's in the textbook to make that point. I did and I linked it for  you as an actual source.

As with gender identity, werent you the one pushing for kids to be told they're boys or girls?  Now you're arguing against it?

I'm not conflating anything, you have no argument nor a point.  The best you can do is copy and paste non original ideas that clearly have no logical point nor is backed by your actual study of the topic.

Way to be a lazy sheep.

The fun news of Desantis stripping disney of special status.

i wonder where the two florida counties are going to come up with the billion+ of operating costs to support the facilities that disney currently provides.

Not to mention longer running pension and health benefits that will be offered to the local government employees that will now have to be hired.

Maybe all that tariff money we are “charging China”?

Don't forget the billion dollars in bonds that'll need to be paid back.  Under Florida law those fall on the entity that takes over once the special district is dissolved.

Unintended consequences DumbAssDeSantis.

honestly, if i were a major shareholder of disney, I'd heavily ask them to play that exact arbitrage.

I'd load up on 100 billion worth of bonds and stick it to the govt.

Again...in case you cannot understand...I am opposed to the premise in general (of teaching Gender identity to children in K- 3rd) not a specific book.  One does not need to read a specific book to disagree with the premise.

Kids don't need to be told / taught they are boys or girls...they just are.  You are one or the other. Really quite simple.

The point is a 3 - 5 year old cannot comprehend the complexities of gender identity.  If you cannot understand that (and the others here)...no point of discussing at all.

It is quite incomprehensible how anyone could want to teach that to such a young group of children.  That is a parental issue ...

at best a straw man simply because all the text books on the list for k-5th grade math do not actually teach CRT nor discuss gender identity but were banned anyway.

you clearly failed at math back when you attended whatever grade of school you did.  The burden of logical proof is on the accuser, I have given you a clear negative proof that no such topic was in the textbook yet you revert back to baseless statements.

if you can not understand that any asshole can make a random opinion and expect those of us intelligent enough to call bullshit on actually believing said random opinion, then clearly there is little help for you.

The fact that you think governance in this country should actually be run by baseless opinion is even worse.  It's literally that simple.

funny, it's all about choice, until it disagrees with your opinion, then it's about asking the government to force someone else to believe your dumb opinion.

Your last paragraph, G-man, is spot on.  DeSantis would say he’s against the government regulating private industry.  Yet, he wants to regulate Disney. When cruise ships wanted to require proof of vaccination, DeSantis tried to force them not to have that standard, getting into a dust-off with Norwegian cruise line.  Florida has passed a restrictive abortion law, so it’s ok with DeSantis if the government steps into private lives.
I fear this guy.  He is an angry and evil person.

In fairness, you could easily find evidence of such contradictions about virtually every politician not just Ronnie D.

He thinks he's a smarter version of 45, and is rallying that base for a run in 2024.  I'll be fine if we just keep him sequestered to Florida.

Please NO!!   We need to vote him out in November.  Will be a tough job now that he has reset districts etc. to "eliminate" the black, and democrat voters.   He believes the old rule that blacks are 80% of a person, and he is afraid of them all.  He is evil, satan, and any other word that can apply. He is against free speech as shown in the Disney ruling.  Tries to demonize anyone that disagrees with him.

We have two jerks called senators that will ass kiss all they can, as they wish to draw a salary, and do nothing to earn it.

He'll never make it on the national stage.  For one, he can't control the media in every state and kick out the ones he doesn't want there like he does his press conferences in Florida.  He'll be up 24/7 against bull dog like opposition that want nothing more than to hold him accountable and point out the ignorant lying thieving bastard he his.

Unless he uses Putin as his media relations consultant.
