The Greenbrier used to be owned by CSX, the railroad people. I am not sure who owns it now. It's a nice place.

It is really a wonderful resort, although I'm not such a Dorothy Draper fan. Her designs and motifs are a little over the top.
It's owned by Jim Justice, a local businessman who the natives feel singlehandedly saved the resort and a ton of local jobs. He is also the current governor of West Virginia.

That said, I have had some really wonderful times there. I love that most of the staff are locals and unpretentious, and yet they give a very high level of service and care.
