Facebook takes down multiple sites with nearly 300,000 followers today that were trying to influence midterm elections. Early indications point toward Russia, AGAIN.

Some of this most recent FB stuff is so egregiously unbelievable that I'm almost tempted to not worry about it.  Then I remember the wise and funny quote from George Carlin:

Think of how stupid the average person is, and then realize half of us are stupider than that.

This stuff can make a difference, especially when hammered over social media for the next 3 months.  The survivalist with the 87 IQ's vote counts as much as yours and mine.  The only solution is to mobilize.  These are truly scary times.

PH, it obviously affects voters. If not, there would not be a Madison Avenue.   The Russians would not be engaging again to this extent if they didn’t think their efforts were rewarded in the past and knowing America will do nothing in the long run as long as Trump is in office.

You do realize the Obama admin was presented with the fact that Russian medddlng was occurring as far back as 2014 and they did nothing.  With the exception of Obama saying he told Vlad to “cut it out”.    I am so glad that jackass is gone and Hillary is no where near the Oval Office!

Napa, you are a true cult member and Trupmoid. Your reply is simply false and devoid of fact, just like Trump. Congratulations. Never let the facts get in the way of your delusional thinking.  Also, as gman and others keep pointing our, Obama is not president. He easily won two elections. This is now on Trump, period. His take, it is a hoax. His words

Obama introduced a bipartisan resolution in response to the Russian interference and while Paul Ryan agreed to push it in the house, Mitch McConnell refused to take it to the senate. Obama also expelled Russian diplomats and also imposed economic measures. Not that it matters in your delusional world, but the Russians investigation started under Obama. Do you remember why Trump fired Comey? Trump said he fired Comey because of “ this Russian thing” which stared under Obama.

Agreee w+a.  There is no doubt that Obama was anemic in his initial responses to knowledge of Russian hacking.  At that time, the true extent of the effort wasn't understood as clearly as it is now.  And Obama never denied that it existed or subsequently called it a fake news hoax.  The overarching hatred of Obama and Clinton (interesting that one is black and the other a woman, but I digress...) among the knee-jerk Trump supporters and their absolute inability to deal with current events in real time is just amazing.  Look!  Squirrel!!!

Looking forward to the Gates testimony today.  As the noose tightens around Manafort's neck, look for increased frenzied blathering from the WH.

I’m thinking he is the one on the left!

I didn't recognize the names of today's spammers, sunny.  I have to imagine that there's an ability to moderate new members' posts before publishing on this site.  I imagine that Robert is probably stretched pretty thin, but this would ultimately save him some time I would think.

One of the GDPR's primary components was significantly increased protection of user information.  I certainly hope that this is the case.  Either way, it would be nice to hear from Robert at some point on what the hell is happening here!

Here's somethign novel.  you can hate obama, hillary and you can also hate trump for peddling russian interests and destroying constitutional rights of all americans.

Not sure why it's always a  "but what about" Obama since he's no longer president?  Did you hear about anybody use "but what about Bush" to defend Obama?

Pretty simple in my mind.  Country before party.

Shame it's come down to  :

“Not sure why it's always a  "but what about" Obama since he's no longer president?  Did you hear about anybody use "but what about Bush" to defend Obama”?

Yes...Obama himself. It was always Bushes fault.  Everyone does it.  It’s brought up to show the hypocrisy.

“The overarching hatred of Obama and Clinton (interesting that one is black and the other a woman, but I digress...)”

This statement is utterly ridiculous and is what is wrong with so many on the left right now.  You have to imply racism and sexism to try and explain a huge dislike of these two?  One a horrible president (color has nothing to do with it) and the other a criminal (sex has nothing to do with it). But sure...believe what you will.

...And now you have both in one president. Happy?

Thrilled!

What Trump really wanted to say when he announced his Spaceforce….

""Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Spaceforce Starship Trump2020. Its mission: to explore strange new worlds (as long as their inhabitants love me), to seek out new life (to enflame my base when I demean and attack them) and new civilizations (unless they don't love me, then see "seek out new life" above), to boldly go where no one has gone before (like that time I went to Quebec)…
