Facebook takes down multiple sites with nearly 300,000 followers today that were trying to influence midterm elections. Early indications point toward Russia, AGAIN.

Damn, that Trump sure did settle things with Putin. This is just embarrassing. Putin’s pats his poodle on the head, gives him a soccer ball to play with and sends him off on his way as the Russians are on the floor laughing.

Trump is truly living up to what the Russians call him, an useful idiot.

Some of this most recent FB stuff is so egregiously unbelievable that I'm almost tempted to not worry about it.  Then I remember the wise and funny quote from George Carlin:

Think of how stupid the average person is, and then realize half of us are stupider than that.

This stuff can make a difference, especially when hammered over social media for the next 3 months.  The survivalist with the 87 IQ's vote counts as much as yours and mine.  The only solution is to mobilize.  These are truly scary times.

PH, it obviously affects voters. If not, there would not be a Madison Avenue.   The Russians would not be engaging again to this extent if they didn’t think their efforts were rewarded in the past and knowing America will do nothing in the long run as long as Trump is in office.

Nice to see Korean War remains returning. I’m sure we all agree on that, even though I think someone said only an idiot would believe the North Koreans would do that. That positive seems to have escaped some.

If they are indeed the remains of American soldiers then yes, of course that is a great thing for the families concerned and others.  No doubt about it.  But the forensic testing has not yet begun and in the past North Korea has sent supposed American remains which turned out to be not American or even human.

And of course that has nothing to do with North Korea's on-going development of their nuclear capability, as reported by several sources yesterday, despite their promise to stop it.  I believe that someone claimed to have eliminated the North Korean nuclear threat but he clearly hasn't - only an idiot would believe that he had!

B, there you go again with facts. Stop it! Trump and his ilk have zero interest in facts. Trump proclaimed these were american remains while they were still being flown home without any testing or applied science. A great photo op is all the Trumpoids need, facts and science be damned.

Willfully ignorant tribe!

From Fox News website, no less.

""North Korea last week returned 55 boxes said to contain the remains of U.S. service members who fought in the Korean War.

But only a single dog tag was included in the delivery -- with no other information to help identify each individual, a U.S. defense official said Tuesday.

The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said it would probably take months, if not years, for U.S. forensics experts to fully determine individual identities from the remains, which have not yet been confirmed by U.S. specialists to be those of American service members.

Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said last week that the return of the remains was a welcome development in U.S.-North Korea relations, but not a guarantee that the remains were those of U.S. war dead.

"We don't know who's in those boxes," Mattis said.

He noted that some could turn out to be remains of missing service members from other nations that fought in the Korean War in the early 1950s.

"They could go to Australia," Mattis said. "They have missing, France has missing, Americans have. There's a whole lot of us. So, this is an international effort to bring closure for those families."

Way to turn what could be a great moment for families that have grieved for decades into another political diatribe. How Presidential of you.

Who is this intended for? Does 45 read this forum?

... and these grieving families know better than anyone that NK has numerous times over the decades returned what proved to be not their loved ones remains and as stated before in this thread, not even human remains.

I’m confident they aren’t buying Trump’s typical hyperbole. They will wait for confirmation and I hope they do receive positive confirmation.

There are very few still alive who have grieved for decades for these 65+ year old remains.

Their husbands and wives, and most of their children are long gone.

If I had a grandfather whose remains were returned from NK in this poor excuse for a peace offering, I'd be grateful.  I'd also ask, justifiably, "Why did you take so long?  Why couldn't you have done this while Mom was still alive?"

Politicizing?  It's like the same argument made for restricting gun control.  It's not politics .It's what is suppose to happen anyway.  Problem is that north Korea has bad precedent on what it means to do the right thing.

The irony is someone saying not to politicize an issue yet supports a president doing exactly such.  It's like taking care of your kids, you're suppose to take care of your kids.  You don't celebrate and ask for acceptance for doing something you're suppose to do anyway.

It didn’t take long for Putin’s poodle to undercut the entire US Intel community once again, and the Trumpoids just love it!

It's just pathological with the orange buffoon.  They trot out the "big guns," of our national security establishment specifically to counteract the perception that the administration isn't taking the Russia threat seriously.  It took about 2 hours for the idiot president to call the concept a "hoax."  So much for a unified front.

I read an interesting analysis on the potential of a drumpf interview with Mueller, and why it will likely never happen voluntarily.  He will either get caught lying, or he will tell the truth. Either way, he's screwed.

What I find interesting is why would he not sit down with Mueller voluntarily? He can have his lawyers with him. If he is issued a subpoena he will not have legal counsel ( see Clinton) and there would be no one to try to stop his pathology lying. He truly is not capable of being truthful. He doesn’t even know he is lying much of the time. He is delusional.

As so many of HIS people have said, if you and your family are innocent, act like it and fully cooperate to expedite the process.

While Mueller continues on his path of indictments and guilty pleas already, let’s not overlook the Southern District Court as well!

I assume your initial question is rhetorical, w+a?  The orange menace and his leftover 3rd tier lawyers are just stonewalling.

Mueller has kicked multiple leads to the NYSD which put them in a  "pardon-proof" jurisdiction.  Nooses are tightening from many directions.

So telling that he was eager to speak to the North Korean dictator, the Russian oligarch ex-KGB thug and is open to meeting with the Iranian mullahs with no pre-conditions.  But one American can't get a sit down!

You do realize the Obama admin was presented with the fact that Russian medddlng was occurring as far back as 2014 and they did nothing.  With the exception of Obama saying he told Vlad to “cut it out”.    I am so glad that jackass is gone and Hillary is no where near the Oval Office!

Here's somethign novel.  you can hate obama, hillary and you can also hate trump for peddling russian interests and destroying constitutional rights of all americans.

Not sure why it's always a  "but what about" Obama since he's no longer president?  Did you hear about anybody use "but what about Bush" to defend Obama?

Pretty simple in my mind.  Country before party.

Shame it's come down to  :
