strzok clowning a bunch of small minds today, what a joke this hearing is

Amazingly inept and predictable performance by the Repub shills.  I'd rather be in a foxhole with one Peter Strzok than every Republican in congress put together.

Repulsive that they gave him time for "brief" responses to the spurious accusations, then let him be constantly interrupted while trying to speak, and then called "time out" before he could complete a sentence.

Vote in November, people.  Our republic depends on it.

I cannot fathom how anyone can listen to the Democrats during this show today and not see the partisan hypocracy.  Grant the Republicans interrupted the answers and that was not cool.  But Strzok was smug, arrogant and completely biased.

Yes vote, I see the Republicans doing very well.

Irrelevant commentary.  Bottom line, FBI investigation should not be impeded by our government just for sake of show.   And that's what this was, a show.  One where the republican chair was making up random rules and procedures along the way, and the democrats making rebuttals, all for a very stupid line of questioning that apparently, the "gentlemen" from south carolina already knew the answer to.

The investigation has already turned up 5 guilty pleas and 17 indictments, 3 companies and bared open that companies like Facebook was selling customer data to foreign companies.

What I find irritating is that so much noise is made about things that are unimportant. Did Trump have an affair or two? Who cares? Did the FBI guy favor one candidate or the other?
Doesn't matter to me.  The fact that the Republicans hate the Democrats and vice versa is not important, nor novel.

What matters is current policy:  Trump's machinations are damaging the NATO alliance. He's been played by N. Korea, but insists he is a champion on both scores. The tariffs will hurt many American consumers, many American companies.  Products from other countries will be more expensive, like electronics, cars, etc. Even cars that are made in America contain 50% or so foreign made parts, so these costs will go up.  To the extent that the average person got or will get any relief from the tax law change, it all will be gone quickly in consumer spending.

The list of things that Congress could hold hearings on and hasn't is extensive.  Yet we manage to spend a whole day, and the time of 75 members of Congress rehashing text messages sent by an FBI agent.  gman is 100% correct on the nature and purpose of yesterdays Stzrok hearing.  It was a show and a diversion to cast aspersions on a very legitimate and productive investigation into Russian meddling and potential collusion and conspiracy by trump, his staff and family.  The repubs are assailing the FBI and director Wray (appointed by trump), DAG Rosenstein (appointed by trump) and undermining confidence in our law enforcement agencies to prepare for what will undoubtedly be additional and much more serious charges to come.  Bunch of simpering enablers. History will not be kind to them.

And as far as Stzrok goes, napa, if I were a highly respected counter-intelligence FBI guy  with over 20 years of distinguished service who was having his ethics questioned by a cabal of screeching hyenas, I'd be angry and arrogant too.  The IG produced a 500 page report in which NOT ONE instance of biased behavior was discovered.  Not.  One.  The only conclusion reached regarding Stzrok's text and e-mails and his removal from the investigation was the possibility of a perception of bias.  Did he screw up?  Absolutely.  Did he exhibit bias in performance of his duties?  No.  And until you can point to one specific thing he did to indicate bias in his work, shut the f___ up about bias.

Stzrok and the FBI sat on information regarding their investigation into the trump campaign's involvement with Russia for over a YEAR without so much as a word getting out.  If the FBI was so biased, don't you think something would have leaked?  And the unfortunate timing by Comey regarding the Clinton  e-mail investigation being revived may have been the straw that pushed trump over the threshold in the Presidential election!  Hell, the republicans should be kissing the FBI's tuchus.

... and what do the 12 have in common?

Trump knew this was going to happen, yet he still preached to Napa and his ilk today!

If trump had a functioning set of balls, he'd cancel the Putin meetings right now.  Especially the "one on one," where there will be no one to overhear the conversation.

Unfortunately, a very big "if."

PH, Trump’s has only shown he is always ball-less when he is face to face. Period.

Looks like Mueller has caught the witches.

One must also love how Trump on video says over and over how much he loves WikiLeaks, even asking WikiLeaks to help him in releasing or finding info. Now there is proof of what has been known for sometime  including by Trump’s boy Stone that Russia was directly involved at the highest level. Yet, the fake president fails to congratulate HIS own appointed justice department on their fine work exposing the work of an adversary doing everything possible to put Trump in office.

38% will still be doubtful. 24% will think it is a set-up and made up and come to the defense of the Russians. Within that 24% is the actual majority of people who consistently vote R, especially in primaries. Within that 38% lie about 90% of registered Republicans.

Trump is an abomination. But the Paul Ryans, Mitch McConnells, Fox News, of the Right — people who know better — who don’t tell their constituents, their viewers, the truth about who this man is, are even more to blame for the descent into madness of too many good Americans.

PH, you clearly are mistaken. They will offer praise and accolades twards our justice department for their in-depth indictment and finding the witches Trump has been seeking. They will then introduce the harshes penalty ever against Putin and his regime of thugs.

Thanks for setting me straight, w+a.    I predict a very interesting news week coming up.  Very interesting...

Not that I agreed with the guy, but I really have to wonder what old Joe McCarthy would think of all his DC brethren kissing butt and blowing smoke screens for the Russians? Pinko, much?

Actually, I think that McCarthy would find a great deal to admire in the current administration.  Making accusations without proper regard for evidence to scare people and gather power? Check. It doesn't have to be a red scare when a brown scare will do.
