I do hope the USA will allow Rodman to negotiate everything in lieu of the much more uninformed bloated ignoramus with a fox sitting on his head.

Regardless of the outcome, NK wins and wins big. Their dream and plan has worked to perfection. They knew if they developed a nuke, they would be invited to the worlds stage. Success!  NK is a country the size of Ohio and has a GDP half of the state of Wyoming, half. Yet, they now have the president of the U.S. flying half way around the world without ANY pre-negotiated terms at all for some photo op to take back to their people. Successful to say the least for NK. and Trump is on the end of the string as a puppet.

The world has seen this with NK before. Negotiations lead to easing of sanctions ( already happing within China) and they string along all demands until Americas current administration is out of office and then restart negotiations before failing to fulfill their side. See 1994 and 2005, but this is history and Trump knows of no such history. Buffoon.

Congratulations to NK for recognizing the fool in the room and taking advantage of such.

Do you really think the following:

  • Trump did no prep
  • The U.S. did not know the outcome of what was going to take place and traveled all that way just to potentially have something blow up in their face
  • Do you think Trump is alone in this and Pompeo and Bolton are not heavily involved.

Good God, Trump has made you delusional and borderline obsessive about him.   You know for sure he planned the No prep line...just to watch fools run with it.

Napa, thanks for the LOL moment. We all need more in our day.

You really should pull your head out of your ass. The view is far different.

Trump prep. He said himself he didn’t need prep. Bolton. No, he was not involved per the White House. He has been accused of trying to sabotage the talks. Where have you been?

Let me understand your president the last few days. Calls Trudeau a “ very dishonest “ “weak” “ back stabbing “ , obnoxious and his tribe says there is a special place in hell for Trudeau. Your president says at the photo op that Kim cares about his people, I trust him, he is a strong man, refused to address human rights and now says that war games are provocative and will cease them without even talking to SK. I’m glad you are comfortable with Trump and how he picks his friends.

So, Trump offers items NK wants and Kim gives nothing that he hasn’t given before since the 1990’s. Oh, and never followed through. I know you are proud of the president flying halfway around the world to meet with the most murderous and barbaric dictators in the world and offers effusive praise on this animal. All while your president is not welcome in Canada, the UK, is hated in Germany and the presient of France hung up on Trump.

I realized early you are not a critical thinker ( trying to be kind) but good lord dude, just look at the last week of your president and tell me he is for anyone other than himself. If you are comfortable with Trump kissing the ass of Kim while giving the finger to all of Western Europe this week AND pitching for Russia to be included again in the G7 than you are far more the fool than even I could have imagined!

The outcome was just as predicted by people on BOTH sides of the aisle. NK scores and Trump gets nothing that has not been offered before. As for your laughable statement that Trump was prepared.... funny how the pentagon was caught off guard, Japan shocked, SK said they didn’t know of any negotiations about war exercises and China left in the blind. Yes, a well prepared man without including the people that will be left with the cleanup from Trump and his 24 hour embarrassment.

In closing, one dictator met with one want to be dictator.

lets not forget, every other dictator in the world now will give kim a huge leverage with the "hey, i'll buy your nuke technology from you"

Do we expect America to now meet with every dictator int he world that's able to obtain nukes and gives them concessions?

no wonder trump has bankrupted so many companies before.

The great negotiator just gives away money, bankrupts then says oh i can't pay, except this time it's the US and its citizens and not one of his fraud companies.

Napa...  you really should just give this a rest.  Seriously.  The above comments by w+a and others are spot on, and echoed by most "reasonable" Republicans.

This asshat has over 120,000 of his people in concentration camps where they are subject to torture, rape, starvation, and more.

He had his uncle executed with a friggin' anti-aircraft gun.

Oh.... And he had his BROTHER poisoned in an airport less than a year and a half ago. His. Brother.

Trump had one legitimate reason to go to Singapore, and that was to get his stated goal of a commitment to total de-nuclearization.  He got jack shite.  He gave Kim instant credibility on the world stage that only meeting with the president of the US can convey.  And he gave it away for a photo op.

So much winning...

With all due respect, VM, I think discussing this stuff on this NEW format WS Forums qualifies as "taking them elsewhere."  We're not exactly where we once were, so we must be elsewhere.

And I'm pretty sure Rudy Giuliani will agree with me on this.

This entire issue with Canada and Trudeau is beyond reprehensible. It is just flat out repugnant to me. For any of the Trump cult to defend it defies human consciousness.

Every time America goes to a war at any level regardless of who is in the oval office Canada stands by our side, period. Politics be damned. They are there.

Canadians shed their blood for our country, have casualties for our country, are always there to support us even when strong disagreement exist. I have never in my adult life gone to bed a single night not knowing when push comes to shove Canada is our strongest of allies.

For Trump and his ilk to say what they said and continue to spin shows everything about their ( lack of) character, lack of any historical reference and honestly lack of any moral fiber whatsoever.

Not to mention we have a trade surplus with our friends from the North.... which was surprisingly news to the POS named Trump!!!

You are one funny cat, Seaquam.      I think the best thing RT could do would be to just let us talk to each other.  It's been civil so far, and this tread is the most active one on the boards at the moment.  Let it be...

I just bought some 0 sugar lemonade that was on sale.

ugh, talk about a puckering moment.

Heh... that's what you get for buying stuff that has to be on sale to get sold.

Reminds me of the best "ade" I've ever had.  Summer break on Bali with my school chums.  First dinner at the local resto, Jenik's.  I was told I had to have this "lemonade" called juruk air.  The fruit was kind of like a pomelo, but a little sweeter?

They squeezed the fruit  at the table into a large plastic tumbler filled with  ice, (supposedly boiled water) , and a large spoonful of raw, but light colored sugar.

You had to stir the mixture every time before you took a sip to get the sugar suspended, but it was firkin' sublime, even to my then unsophisticated palate.  After a few hours in the salt water, there was nothing I'd rather have quenched my thirst with.

Short answer.  No to fake lemonade.
