I have no idea what direction this turned. Relative to my recent T&E post, I was sure “camaro” was a knowing response to “Bitchin’”. What is DM?

Dead Milkmen
Trump in front of his tribe says the China trade policy is raping and stealing from Americans. Calls them money manipulators and will impose a 45% tax on them.

Trump in front of China leader praises China for their trade practice. Big Grin

Trump is clearly a coward and devoid of any values as the world watches and laughs as his nutsack shrinks when not preaching to his 30% isolationist.

Putin will once again play him like a cheap fiddle this week.

The whole forum will be going down shortly. Does anyone talk about wine anymore?

What was the last wine-related topic you started?

Better yet, what wine-related conversation you contributed that wasn't What Are You Buying or Drinking?

Since you’ve asked a wine-related (or at least forum-related question), which I trust is a genuine inquiry, and not merely an attack designed to prove yourself a superior forumite, I’ll gladly answer your question: without research, the last thread I believe I started was a thread regarding Chambolle-Musigny wines. In response, a number of forumites shared their knowledge and expertise to help me learn about these wines, which I appreciated. I’ve utilized the forum to learn and share about wine. Maybe my approach is different or more limited than others - so is my knowledge of wine relative to many here. I’m OK with that. Life’s a learning experience. I’ve met a number of good people and friends via offlines, which is the best part of this forum, to me. My life is full and leaves little time for online adventures, so I contribute where I can in a way that works for me. Selfish? Sure. Guilty as charged.

My comment was in regard to having to wade through too much non-wine-related stuff which is distracting from the intended purpose of a wine forum. By all means, if the community wishes to start or maintain a political forum, do it. Call it what it is - a political forum/thread and try not to co-mingle. I might find it interesting if it were actually a substantive discussion versus a name-calling, hate-spewing rhetoric platform. That’s not why I come here. I hope my answer satisfies your inquiry.

But the dead Kennedys and Ramones were better, imho.

Fair enough, all three bands were in their prime before I was even born. I prefer the Dead Kennedy's to the Ramones, but my brother is the opposite.

Well, if you petulant middle aged men would learn how to log off and enjoy real life then maybe less fewer threads would get nuked.

Grammar matters.

You're welcome! Wink

The point I was trying to make is if people want to discuss more wine-related topics, start one or contribute to one. Your Chambolle thread was in 2016. If wine forums should be limited to wine, things would get boring fast. I understand people get fired up in political threads, but there are plenty of non-political ones as well. If you don't like to read the mud slinging and name calling, don't open it.

Try the Galleria area of Houston or North Dallas if you want to see bad traffic in Texas.

No, but thanks for the offer. Wink
I chose a hotel that was right off the I-35 frontage. Won't do that again. I'm not used to the designated u-turn areas and it was a bit hairy for me in busier times.

I asked Putin if he meddled in the election. He denied it and I believe him.

Who is Donald Trump?

You can make a 365 day Far Side-like calendar with Orangina's tweets and comments.

DD, go for it! There is 67% of the U.S. population would buy it plus the rest of the entire world.

Hurry, the holiday season is near. Wink
