And Don Lemon
When someone like that gets fired, does he get unemployment benefits? I mean, Tucker Carlson is probably worth 25 million bucks or more. I think he'll be ok.
If Fox were to get rid of the other nutters there and become a reputable news source again then maybe some degree of political healing in the US could begin to start. Doubtful though, since the Republicans would still be controlled by Trump and his Trumpanzees, at least until after the next election.
And no doubt Tucker will pop up on Newsmax or OAN or one of those channels that's even worse than Fox and make them even more dangerous than they are now.
I heard a rumour that Don Lemon will be taking over Tucker Carlson's spot on Fox, starting in a couple of weeks.

I hate to say this, but I am certain that Fox is going to bring in someone who will just be a Tucker-light.
The audience is mostly comprised of right wing, angry, white viewers. You want to keep them coming, so that you can keep the advertising revenue coming in. If they try to become a reputable news source, they lose their base viewers (who want to be told what they want to hear), and they become a second-rate cable news network.
I doubt the powers that be want that to happen. Tcuker just became too much of a liability to them, so they had to let him go. He probably will not the last.

I expect that you are right. I read some speculation that Jesse Watters could be next up. But I bet that some degree of restraint will be applied to whoever it is, and the other whackadoodles there too, at least temporarily.
I don't get Fox here (I could but would need to pay for the privilege) so will not be able to see for myself.
looks like tucker's might be going over to RT

dang ,, solid burn response
Donald Trump lost his civil case in NY and today Rep. Santos got arrested and charged with various acts of fraud.
Not a good week for Republicans, and it's only Wednesday.
Yep, it doesn't really move the needle at all. People have already established their positions regarding the Republicans/Democrats, Trump, Biden, etc.
I really don't believe that too many folks who voted for Biden in 2020 are going to reverse course and vote for Trump. And I doubt many of the people who voted for Trump in 2020 are going to decide to switch and vote for Biden in 2024.

Agree. But many will just stay home on election day. Hoping more of the latter group than the former group do so.
thought this was funny
