She is a child. She’s 15. I’d cut her some slack, but she specifically mentioned her father being anti-abortion as an example of her opposition to her dad. Though, it was exclusively her mother she labeled as an abuser or a person who didn’t care about her. The vast majority of this is her (justifiable) outrage at her mother. There are three other children, but they don’t have social media presences, so I don’t know the total extent of this.

One of those other kids is her twin brother. I bet he's not enjoying this ride. But kudos to the parents for apparently, eventually, putting their kids first, even if it took too long

You can't have gay sex in Texas but guess what? Yep, we have gays and I'm 99.9% confident they occasionally have sex.

So Trump's friends include a child molester (Epstein), two swingers (Roger Stone, Jerry Jr, & their wives.); and a sex trafficker and child porn enthusiast (George Nadler). I don't know, I could be blocking some others. Not to mention his own escapades with beauty contestants, porn stars, Playboy bunnies, and anybody else who couldn't run away fast enough.
And we're supposed to believe there isn't a "pee-pee" tape?

Morally speaking, at least the way I use the term, President T. is a disaster. Not that Bill Clinton was exactly virtuous.
Say what you want politically about George Bush and Barack Obama, but each of them spent 8 years in the Oval Office and there wasn't a whiff of personal or moral issues for either of them.

And they have the ability to act collegially, treat each other and the office with respect and dignity and not act like an insane child - despite very different political views on just about everything (as had most prior presidents)
Fun fact: If you wrote each lie or misstatement that Trump has spoken during his presidency on a Post-It note and laid all of them end-to-end, you would create a column more than 16 football fields long.
I tasted a small pour of Meiomi on Friday and lived. It really is shitty. Laube actually gave this crap a 92 once, and it still gets upper 80s.
the lies, insane lies spoken and fact checked are miserable for a leader of a great country.

Yes. In fact it is said that specifically Michelle and W are friends.
I wonder if ex-Pres. Bush is contemplating announcing support for Biden. If he did that around 9/1 that would be of potential impact, I guess.

It is hard to believe I spent so much time litigating the 2000 presidential election and thinking how dire the consequences were when the Supreme Court (although the conservatives claims to not be activists of course) handed the election to W - when compared to now, it seems basically trivial (apart from the wars etc. of course)
Watching a truly a bizarre press conference with the Sheriff for Kenosha. After 30 minutes there still is no talk about the shooting in the back of Jacob Blake and no talk yet about the person arrested for a killing last night. It was so weird, that MSNBC decided to cut away from the conference because there was no important information coming out of it.
Interesting that the Census considers people from the southern Mediterranean "white". I'm not necessarily disagreeing; "whiteness" is a social construct; there is no obvious reason why Greeks and Armenians (and even Mizrahi Jews) should be "white" whereas Turks and Lebanese shouldn't be. But it is still interesting to see Lebanon listed as a possible origin of white people on the Census.
"We have pioneered the fatality rate...."
"And people trying to change the rules to this methodology, which as a matter of logic is very open to fraud and coercion, is reckless and dangerous. And people are playing with fire."
This is just made for a high school debate class lesson. His main claim that a foreign country might "mail thousands of fake ballots..." is not based on evidence or even intelligence but on his claim of logic. What an abomination, what a travesty that this is the number one enabler of the grifter in chief.
The President's reported remarks about the military are just despicable.
We were at both Belleau Woods and the cemetery at Aisne-Marne. Went there in May of 2018, on a trip to Champagne. It was drizzling when we were at both of them. Didn't matter. These were our brave Marines and other soldiers. They were neither suckers nor losers. If you get a chance to go to the Champagne region, I recommend that you stop at these two sites to pay homage to these fine people, who gave their lives in service to our country. The memory of these heroes should be eternally honored, not besmirched by the bone spur President.
I asked a couple of young ex-marine friends how it feels to know they were suckers and losers all that time. But hey, they at least have the GI Bill.
" I understand helicopters very well."
" I played it down. I always wanted to play it down."
Excerpts from the Woodward book today. Besides TOMs excerpt above, there are so many others that would end the career of any other politician, and most seem to be on tape. Woodward had 18 on the record chats. Also chats with Kushner and others who have not commented on the record previously.
Looking forward to seeing Trump and his flying monkeys try to weasel out of it this time!

Unfortunately, it doesn’t matter. A frighteningly large percentage of voters are some combination of ignorance, racism, paranoia, and stupid enough to deserve having been aborted.
And that doesn’t even include the moronic, gibbering fuckmook Qanon jerkoffs.
school starts tomororw,
they want all kids to bring in their school issued ipads and headsets. of course these versions of the ipad dont have any jacks, so they're all wireless. I point out to a few folks the irony that they complain about 5g radiation but not all this wireless radiation.

The weaseling has already begun. If Drumpf didn't want to cause a panic, then how do you explain the fear mongering about the non caravan? (rhetorical question for everyone except napacat)
The problem is that his base isn't going anywhere, and that many of the thoughtful opposition are so weary of the onslaught of bullshit from the WH and enablers that we just don't know what to do any more.
Vote people. Vote. It's all we have left.

I find it interesting that it seems that those countries whose leaders were honest with their people are doing so much better than those who didn't. Because that allowed their people to understand and take steps to protect themselves. And speaking only for my own country, there was no panic at all. Much fear, followed by weary resignation, but no panic.

Keep in mind that "panic" for the Trumpkin* meant panic in the stock market. He doesn't give one rat's ass for the average American.

Not wanting to post a political message on the RIP thread in relation to the great Justice Ginsberg....all Mitch needs to do is apologize for not holding a hearing on Merrick Garland and say he agrees with the Democrats position in 2016 and hold a hearing this time. Very simple.
