Had a good conversation with a friend at the pub today, and realized that I have never taken a selfie.  I've been included in more than a few, but have never pressed the trigger myself.

I remember being at an outdoor art installation last month and seeing a couple fumbling around trying to get a good picture of themselves with the sculpture in the background.  I offered to take a few shots of them with their iPhone.  The look of surprise on their faces was worth the price of admission.  The pictures were awesome, if I may say so.

So reassuring to hear from such professional, accomplished and  non-political public servants.  It actually made me proud to be American in a way I haven't in some time.  Of course the orange menace had to classify many as "never-dumpers" as though any analysis of anyone's value or service needed to be passed through the filter of dotard-loyalty.  Sad.

Napa, when you openly support and heed to his thinking over and over again, you are too a racist. Period. That said, I’m glad you didn’t disagree to being one of his fluffers.

Being called out for what you are is well within the Forums policies. Oh, by the way, you failed to respond to the question of under what name did you go by here before your name change to Napa...

NAACP polls had African American support at 21%

Anything at or above 20% will be bad news for Dems.

"Political Insider" Snicker. Go out and find a real poll that shows anything like your fantasy. What should we call people who defend, and support, a bigot and racist?

It's a poll by Rasmussen, I just linked an article that cited the poll.  Also, I noted a poll by NAACP showing a lower support level of 20%. I would expect somewhere in between is the likely number.  It is still a very significant level of support.

What do you call African Americans that support Trump?

You could not be any more incorrect than you are.  I am in an interracial marriage and a registered Independent.   I have no idea what my previous name was here.  Not overly into forums or boards.  This is the only one I am on from time to time. I just love wine and unfortunately went down this hole of discussing something other than.

It's just so easy to label people a racist that don't agree with everything you say.   You're fat (or potentially used to be)....I'll label you a lazy,  weak minded idiot who cannot control your weight.

Do you really think everyone that supports Trump is a racist?  Every one?  That is all that the left has now...is to label.  You certainly cannot stand or win on the issues at all.  I've said it before....run with abolishing ICE, letting Illegals have free healthcare and open borders.  RUN ON IT.  See how far you get. Watch TRUMP's  second inauguration.

FL Wino...I'll give you a pass as you are not from this country...but you really are not that bright.

For the record, I don't think everyone who supports Trump is a racist.  But I do think that those that continue to support him after all the harm he's done and horrible things he's said are either solely-self-interested or utterly uninformed about how governing works.  Anyone who cannot be bothered to read briefing notes or even be briefed and who makes decisions based on ever spoke to him last on a given issue or on a mere whim or something he saw on TV  is so supremely unfit for any office, much less President.  Much of the damage he is doing to your country and the world will never be undone.  There is simply no excuse for anyone with a brain, a conscience, or who is capable of thinking for themselves to support him any longer.

There are very wealthy people who support the Democrats. This would seem not to be in their economic self interest. There are very poor people who support the Republicans. This too would seem not be in their economic self interest.

We have room for people who are free to enjoy lots of different things and to have different opinions and likes and dislikes.  There are people who like Nascar and people who hate it. There are people who like ballet and people who hate it. I suppose there are people who like both Nascar and ballet, and people who dislike both.

But, everyone loves a good 1st growth with a ribeye [except, of course, vegetarians, vegans and pescatarians], and everyone likes his steaks rare or medium rare, except the President, who likes them well done with ketchup.

Happy Thanksgiving.  A good day to avoid politics

Amen. Or, at least, to speak about things in terms of values.

But, I am lucky. As far as the eye can see everyone I’m related to or friends with irl falls in the spectrum of moderate “Never Trump Republican” (in the vein of Tom Nichols) to tentative Warren supporter. And pretty much everyone is an Obama Democrat. So we can always talk politics without too much rancor.

I'm so happy for you. Now back to defending the racist, bigot, sexist, know-nothing demagogue  in the White House.

Our Thanksgiving isn’t until tonight so haven’t faced this issue. Funny though, our house will be filled with all republicans except one of our daughters. This said, we ALL agree Trump is a despicable piece of shit.

Im disappointed there aren’t better college games on today. 😠

Is TT a defender?

"Recent polls show African American support for Trump at 35%" His source--a  year old right wing website using a Rasmussen poll. "An analysis by Nate Silver on FiveThirtyEight ranked Rasmussen 20th out of 23 pollsters for accuracy in the 2012 elections with an average error of 4.2 points." They don't do any better today in other studies I found.

"Democrats are making a mockery of the impeachment process. Instead of following protocol from previous impeachment processes..."

"I agree that there is a strong question with the integrity of the prosecutor. However, the issue regarding the investigation into Burisma is not totally clear and was reported by the public news. And it is probably enough for Trump to have an issue with, whether it is truly valid or not." Huh?

"According to Trump, he had been withholding money to Ukraine because of concerns of corruption and inappropriate dealings within the Ukrainian government. Anyone that has followed their actions would have to agree this is a concern." Trump, the big corruption fighter.

"Y'all need another hobby, obviously wine is not enough to keep you from obsessing about Trump..." Yes, stop obsessing about his non-stop attacks on our democracy--drink more wine.
