Napa  There are a few job openings at FOX News.  Take one and make it your full time job.  Then you will be able to kiss a$$ of the bone Spur guy.

Would love to hear of your justification as to why the bone spur guy was invited to marshall the Veteran Days event in NYC.   He was a draft dodger, hated anyone that was captured in battle [McCain], cuts back the Veteran's Benefits, Cut services at the VA hospitals etc.  A real T--d in my book.    Has no knowledge of the US Constitution, and as a well known fact he does not like to read

I haven’t been on the forum much lately. I see Napafluffer is no different than the man he fluffs... seems I recall he was finished with this site. Liar, which is the best of what can be said of him/her.

Now that Iran called the little bone spurs bluff and has positioned itself for a rapid nuclear breakout that none other than Mike Pompeo sounded the alarm on Thursday of this week.  What a failure from the swaggering reply Orange Dump and Pompeo who both said that sanctions would force Iran to change their behavior.🤣.  A willfully ignorant president surrounding himself with only old white yes men that has the intellectual depth of an amoeba  and the temperament of a petulant child is simply dangerous. All this plus a clinically ill narcissistic coward that refuses to listen to the pentagon does not bode well.

People say the worst things and when someone else speaks like them they say “don’t call us names”.  It’s just a bit of the same.
People say Trump is not civil...however he has been attacked every single day with some terrible things said about him...just more hypocrisy.

In unrelated news I just found out after decades of mistaken good intentions, that #6 plastic Go-Cups are NOT recyclable.

I've likely put a few thousand of these puppies into the blue bin with good intentions.  Not only are they not accepted where I live, my putting them into the bin has likely caused additional expense and aggravation to our municipal employees.  It's hard to be good these days.

Bloomberg vs. Trump:   Two 74+ year old wealthy guys.  One was a Democrat who became a Republican. One a  Democrat who once was a Republican.  Basically, both from NY.

Meanwhile, Trump said about Bloomberg a day or two ago, "He's got some personal problems."    Trump, of course, is an expert on personal problems.

In addition when you do respond it's with logical fallacies, non sequiturs, strawman arguments and whataboutisms. You play right into the stereotype of stupid Trump supporters.

You misspelled DNA as “stereotype”.

You want proof of just how bad this presidency is? Bad enough that bill and I are backing each other up and enjoying a laugh together. It takes a special kind of bad to shake the world.

Something horrendous happened to friends of ours recently. I really need to get better at not getting too worked about disagreements, and being able to discuss/argue things in a less angry way. Goes for work as well as here. There are people dealing with things way worse than what I could imagine living with. I’ve always been reactionary to a fault; using the pause button would be good for me to remember to do. And yes, we agree on this subject for sure.

God you're so ignorant and as I've said many times just such a poor debater. Funny about that word "though." Not only is it the proof of the demagogue in chief's anti-democratic act, but with it your use of it you are admitting that Trump did what he's accused of, offering a quid pro quo to it get a foreign country to give him dirt on a political opponent. Meanwhile there's no proof of anything in regard to Biden. But let's say there were, I'm going to make a shocking statement that it's not near the offense of blackmailing other countries to help you win a US election.

Also please read up on today's news from Great Britain that Trump was trying to squeeze information against his political "enemies."

"His job was to recommend charges or not."

I guess you didn't read my response, or are deliberately ignoring it as a good Fox State News viewer. He was constrained from recommending charges because of a DOJ rule. PS, not a law.

May I suggest you find some other thread to respond to because every time you do here you just dig yourself down deeper and deeper.

You are a bitter and rotten soul and I presume an overall jerk of a human.  You, Old Man,  think I implied that Trump had a quid pro quo ( I did not).  I stated "odd how this quid pro quo was ok" (Biden).  You interpret that to imply that I indicated that Trump made one as well...nice leap.  Stick to the person I was speaking about.

If the rule is that a sitting president cannot be indicted...then what was the point of the entire investigation.  You know they would have nailed them if they could. On one hand....Trump is a moron and the dumbest president ever.  On the other hand, you also want us to believe he is brilliant and worked with Russia to get elected and was able to hide it from the special council. Man...You all are a tiring bunch.

And the Cellarnewbie  who states: "Also, he lost the popular vote by 3 million, because is president because land gets more electoral credit than urban areas".

This is only due to Los Angels County / Southern CA and Manhattan.  You think we want  this group of out of touch people to sway the general elevation in their favor...not at all.   Any talk of dissolving the Electoral College is nonsensical and just bitterness from the losing side.

Get over it...Trump will win again.

There are more people in Los Angeles than in Wyoming, North or South Dakota, Idaho, etc, yet each of those states gets far more representation in DC than just the people of Los Angeles.  You don't think people in NYC or LA should get an equal say in the vote?  Why shouldn't 1 person = 1 vote?

Apparently our disease had crossed the border to the North.  For the Canadians on the forum...is the below statement really deserving of losing your job over it?

The longtime broadcaster went on a rant about the lack of poppies he had seen leading up to Remembrance Day. In Canada, the flowers are traditionally worn in honor of veterans.

“I live in Mississauga,” Cherry said. “Nobody wears, very few people, wear a poppy. Downtown Toronto, forget it. Downtown Toronto nobody wears a poppy.

“Now you go to the small cities and you know, the rows on rows. You people love — you, that come here, whatever it is — you love our way of life, you love our milk and honey. At least you could pay a couple bucks for a poppy or something like that. These guys paid for your way of life that you enjoy in Canada. These guys paid the biggest price.

Just amazing.  All he is saying is wear a Poppy...it's about the least you can do.

Age removes filters and those things that you once said in your head eventually get said out loud and you are at a point where you don't realize or don't care when people hear it.

Don Cherry is a racist, xenophobe and isolationist. Now with the filter gone he's a raving one and doesn't realize that what he's saying goes against how the majority of Canadian's feel. Most of us are very turned off by it.

I agree that everyone should wear a poppy leading up to this day. The thing is that everyone watching that rant by Cherry understood that what he was saying was in effect "those foreign, brown people streaming into our country are not like us, don't care about us, will never be like us and shouldn't be here."

If the majority of Canadian's feel that way about him, imagine how we feel about Trump.

You certainly have me figured out. I’ve never posted a tasting note, organized or attended an offline, mentioned wines purchased or consumed, shared info about deep discounts, sales or coupons, offered travel advice, invited fellow forumites into my home...

Congratulations, super sleuth. (Weren’t detective called Dicks at one time? Seems appropriate here.) If you ever read one of the wine-related threads you’d realize how embarrassingly asinine you are. Assuming you could set aside your pathological myopia. As for being “easy prey”, that’s on you for being unable to back up your comments with facts.

While this may have little to no impact, I'll toss this out for consideration.  Given that we have 1st amendment protections for freedom of speech (within certain limits), Napa is free to say (type) what he has been.  Those of us who disagree with these posts have a couple of choices as I see it (I'm disregarding reasoned discussion as another poster has suggested that would be ineffective and the evidence strongly suggests this to be the case).

Shout him down, and in so doing amplify his message.

Ignore him and leave his views in the margin (this is a wine board and I don't think there is any great danger in lending credence to his views by not responding to them).  I would suggest that this course of (in)action would eventually eliminate his views from this forum as he becomes bored.

"Shout him down, and in so doing amplify his message."

Two things wrong with this. First, for the most part, we don't "shout him down." We have laid out a pretty clear case on why this is the most racist, bigoted, sexist, know-nothing, who has ever been U.S president. In addition to these and other loathsome traits (born without a heart) he is a demagogue who plays on the ignorance of a certain resentful sector of our society. Among other things this has led to a documented increase in hate crimes. In response we have gotten obfuscation, deflection, whereaboutism (but, but, Hillary), strawman arguments and non sequiturs.

So, two, when he tries to shovel this shit he naturally gets called out on it. Eventually his muddled thinking, poor writing skills, and repeated nonsense makes it just natural to then "shout him down." However I don't see how this amplifies his message.

Once that I recall, 2011. A brief introduction in the backyard of Otis. My first CDP and only second time with a mass group from here. You were easy for me to remember - your ample, distinguished  hair combined with how well you “ married up”.
