Theme is great-great food, great wine and it happens to be open that bottle night which i observe.
I will toss in a vintage port at least 40 years in age and a well aged cali cab/meritage for the evening.
Location can be my house on Long Island or a restaurant in or around NYC. I have a few places that work on the BYOB pricing with me.

Any takers?

Perhaps we can do this event in NYC so the other three who expressed interest can attend. and I can host g-man and the g-man family another day/weekend at my place.
I will work on a venue with Peking duck house as a fall back just in case location. Updates forthcoming. Looking forward to seeing/meeting everyone. VinCentric are you going to be solo or with others Saturday night?

My status for Saturday is tbd. My friend's son who lives in Boston arranged the weekend. I'm pretty sure we're doing a group dinner Friday with about 6 of us. The tasting is Saturday afternoon, which may leave my friend and I available for this dinner. I did mention the possibility of getting together with the NYC cru to my buddy. I'm waiting to hear back what his son et al had in mind, if anything, for Saturday night. Hope to know within a few days. It would be good to meet some of the NYC cru. I'll be staying at 53rd & 3rd in Manhattan.
Our plans are fleshing out (grammar ok?) along the lines I planned so my friend and I are in for NYC dinner Saturday night. I'll be at my cousin's at 53rd & 3rd, and my friend will be at a hotel somewhere between there and the Italian Wine Merchants (108 East 16th Street). Peking Duck House works for us, but we're flexible so any place you pick that's accessible, differentdave, is good with us. Looking forward to finally meeting some of the NYC cru!

It's been a long time VB! Are you coming up for any race activities this year?

BTW for the 25th:

Jacques Selosse Initial
1997 Paolo Scavino Rocche dell'Annunziata Riserva

Looking forward to meeting some of the NYC crew and enjoying some good wine, food together Smile

That it has my friend! No plans to head north this year, however the need certainly exists. Would love to host you and any/all the TWC crew down in these parts as well!

Give my best to DoubleD and the gang!

Will do BV!
A fine gathering of astute wine drinkers, good times

Thanks to all who attended and organized this feast. Apparently there were several people at Peking Duck who also wanted to join our party, lol

My foggy memory recalls Pernot family Burg White, 1986 Clerc Milon, 1999 Cote Rotie, old Spanish reds, 1970 Dow port, 1907 Bual Madeira, 2001 Rochioli Pinot Noir. Pro wine drinkers bring extra wine glasses, thank you DD Cool
