BA did a holiday work party for 15 for us and they did a great job, but maybe I was too influenced. My boss knows one of the owners, that was a nice touch. Their server/wine buyer was interested in joining our offline tastings.

I am open to anything you guys have in mind.. anyone else have a suggestion? I think there are lots of choices down there.

It will be good to see you Danny.. Look forward to you coming down..

Maybe when LP comes into town I can drag SPO up to LA for a road trip to KL for a pick up of our club offerings, do their Sat. tasting and then do an LA wine dinner...

Off to a Hess Wine/Dinner at Pacifica Grill

Cheers to all

Excellent! It'll be good to see you again. Smile

Since the input on BA was mixed I've been trying to look into a few other possibilities, but this week has been nuts. I'll try to post somethiing tomorrow. But one way or another, we're on!!!

It's a date Razz
I've been wanting to try Molly's and I'm thinking that their food will be more complimentary to the range of wines that are likely to show up at our events (and with ArieS coming down we need to stick to our CRS style Wink). Corkage is $15 - the high range of what we usually look for, but acceptable I think. Sound good?

The list I have so far is...

Definite:
Me + 1
Powell Yang + 1
Whine-oh (+1?)
ArieS
dannyk

Possible:
Wine Joe
clayfu
Gigond Ass

any theme? since this is on the high end of our eating habits why not match it up with some nicer wines =P I'm still sticking with the cab/cab blend theme! (california/france/chile wherever you want it from)

ILL BRING THE 1900 MARGAUX MAGNUM. (wait nm, i left it in LA)
You can set whatever theme you want. If I make it, it the spirit of CRS I'm bringing whatever the hell I want anyway.. Cool

I seldom disappoint.

If someone says "Italy", I'm definitely out.. Eek

Chaos Reigns Supreme. I'm a founding member of the very first SoCal WS offline group along with Pinot Envy, Tbird, highdesertwine and a few other folks.

how cute.
i want to name the current group
Team awesome.
Alright, we're set for Molly's this coming Wednesday at 7:30. I made the reservation for 12 people and that's where we'll cap it, in case we get some last minute interest, so that everyone can get a taste of what's opened.

No theme - just bring something interesting that you'd want to share with fellow winos. We'll stick with the standard $40 floor, but I know that personally I'm looking in the more interesting corners of my cellar for this event.
