Since rose isn't available go with a dry white like a French Muscat, Gavi, etc.. or perhaps a light and dry red.
I had a serious LACK, so opened a 2008 Drouhin Oregon Pinot Noir. It was great, but I'm going to have to pester my local wine retailer about stocking some rosé.
Try the '08 Belleruche Rose from Chapoutier if it is available locally.
Never mind the vintage year. I had some last week, and I think it has exactly what you are looking for.

No rose all year round in Chicago in stores? 
there are some leftovers from last summer, but each year I prefer to get the most recent release. I'm usually buying in May or June; we were just lucky with a bit of warm this April.
Always a good idea to have a few Tavel Rose in your cellar for just such emergencies!
