Hi all, anyone buy these today? Never tried these wines... certainly not giving them away at the prices offered but has anyone tried the $50 “roberto voerzio di san francesco”? Thanks

Don’t know that specific wine, but at first glance the prices seemed outrageously high. Then again I haven’t bought a Voerzio since the 2008 vintage... but they were a fraction of that price.

The first and only Voerzio I bought was a '90 in around '95. Were expensive then, about 2-3x average for the category, but the spread keeps increasing.  Applying a similar multiple, the Barolo should be $200-250 a bottle. Easy pass.

Tasted the Barbera on Friday, meh.  Tasted the Fossati, nice but nowhere hear the price nice.  Didn't bother asking if there were anymore to try after those two..
