Myself and former active forum member joke about this every time somebody notable passes. We message each other guessing who will post first. Consensus always was TOM or Bruce Hayes until a few months ago.
We had the opportunity to see one of her last concerts
I issued her a work permit to perform in Toronto back in 1984 or 85. Didn't meet her though just did the paperwork.
RIP Tina. A remarkable talent, with a remarkable story.
I saw her in Vancouver years ago. She was the opening act for Lionel Ritchie. It was just before ‘Private Dancer’ hit the charts, but her talent and energy surpassed his, and we were all smitten by her.
About a year later she returned, this time as the headliner. And yes, Lionel Ritchie was her warm up act.
We saw her with Cindy lauper (sp). Greatest female act ever. They went for two encore
Ed Ames. Actor and singer
Was this the Ed Ames in the famous Johnny Carson tomahawk clip?
