Fantastic singer. Saw him many, many times as part of James Taylor’s band, but he performed and recorded with a who’s who of musicians. He was feared in the documentary “20 Feet From Stardom”.

Two giants of conservation, and dear friends, died recently: Tom Lovejoy on Christmas Day and E.O. Wilson yesterday. Their contributions are immense.

And to provide a bit more perspective, Irwin, for those afflicted with a surplus of youth, Dobie Gillis‘s beatnik sidekick was Maynard G Krebs, played by Bob Denver. Denver later became Gilligan, of Gilligan's Island, which I think was a much bigger hit than Dobie Gillis.😊
