Agree TPE. Love his work.
Kids are asleep and blasting as much as I can.
Listen to You Want It Darker now. Way better than Dylan, imo
Another Canadian icon has left us. RIP LC.

Leonard Cohen.
He'll be missed. Loved his early work especially. Famous Blue Raincoat is one of the best songs I've ever heard.
ironically, he had some quoted remarks recently about his time being up. RIP.
Maybe he knew his time was about up
hallelujah
RIP to an extraordinarily gifted man. I saw a quote something to the effect of "he found the sacred in the profane, and the profanity in the sacred,". Which I think beautifully articulates what his music and lyrics have meant to me.
There is much sadness in our house today. Across the Canadian literary landscape, the loss of Leonard Cohen is reverberating like an earthquake. He was iconic and his influence will last generations.
Add mine as well. What a talent and a loss for all. Will also be greatly mourned in Israel
You want it darker.
I am ready my lord.
RIP.
I am ready my lord.
RIP.
I listened to a lot of his music last night. I had forgotten what a great talent he was.
A great poet, songwriter, artist; in that order, I think. A truly great loss.
So sad.
Only performer I ever saw who thanked the audience after every song for letting him sing for them. He will be missed.
He was a great composer, though his voice was an acquired taste. Did love his collaboration with Jennifer Warnes.
A great loss, indeed. Probably deserves his own thread. RIP.

I'll always remember Leon performing A Song for You at Willie's 70th birthday party and it brought tears to his eyes. A legend. RIP
