I didn’t much like the movie for which he won his Oscar, but I loved him in ‘Body Heat’ and especially as part of the ensemble in ‘The Big Chill.’ A great talent.

Agreed. I loved him in his small supporting role in the brilliant ‘A History of Violence’, too. RIP.

Man, if you ever saw Chevy Metal, Hawkins' cover band...the dude was born to be a front man. Real bummer about his passing.
