Yes. Excellent.

Thx. I think it's time for a view.

Same general plot, but remember it's now 24 years old, and I know some people who couldn't get past the slightly dated style.

Ian Richardson is fantastic as Francis Urquhart, but he plays him with more of a sly wink while Spacey's Francis Underwood is more cynical.

The sequel "To Play the King" appeared 3 years after the first series, and covers much of the same ground as season 2 of the American series.

The third season, "The Final Cut", appeared 2 years after that, in 1995.

Thx. Tried watching last night but had a Netflix streaming error ("try again later, or try another title").

California last (thankfully) season - total soap opera.

Are you referring to Californication? We've been watching all along and I thought they had an alright series ending episode last year. However it then cut to an announcer asking us, ala Dallas, what we thought was going to happen NEXT season. We were so shocked that they were going to drag this dead horse with another year that we've haven't been able to bring ourselves to watch another episode.

Officially hooked on The Wire even just on season 1. Old Cases episode and the F-ck scene was pretty killer.
Its amazing. My wife has not seen it so we are going to start soon.

I think perhaps the best single scene ever on a dramatic series.

I still think the best first episode for a new series was on The Shield. In the first scene, Det. Vic Mackey, head of a police strike team, enters and sweeps a drug house with his team. After a few moments, he then calmly turns and shoots one of his own guys right between the eyes! WHOA!! Instantly hooked!

Still my favourite cop show ever.

I need to watch this on DVD. I watched the first year or two and enjoyed it quite a bit, but then got busy with life and never picked back up with it.

Just caught the first 3 episodes of a new AMC series -- Halt and Catch Fire (or something like that. I'm still undecided, but it was good enough for me to sit through the three. I'm interested in seeing how it proceeds.

Been watching this also. Takes me back to the days when I was still tapping on my Atari 800, and getting the paper unstuck from the spindle gears on my dot-matrix printer. This originally came with a cassette drive (pre-floppy disks), and a handset phone modem. Red Face

I've been watching but I'm not sure I like it that much.

J - -- as old man said, this is my tops series list of all times

you'll love it. The very last season faltered a tad, but mistakes that were easy to forgive IMO and did not affect the quality of the overall series at all

Binge watching - on episode 3 of Season 3. Have to say I agree with all the raves and have not stopped talking about it. I am only 10 or so years behind the times. I am very impressed how they pull no punches and how 3 dimensional the characters are on all sides.

I was going to ask the same thing. I actually didn't watch it, but figure I can catch up at any point if it gets glowing reviews.

I loved the book, so I'm curious to see how it translates to the screen.

This show is depressing. Gave up as of episode 3.

I have been watching Sr. Avila and I like that pretty well.

Still undecided about this. Not a fan of his accent (minor gripe). Going to give it a few more shows to see if this is worth while

It took a bit but yes I am now hooked on it. Malkovich is awesome and the character Dr. Lowe is intriguing. The girls are pretty nice too.

I haven't watched any yet, but it is working its way up my queue for On Demand. I really liked the first season -- love how strange the female lead is -- and your descriptor of "too much work" sounds like an endorsement to me. If I can multi-task during a TV show, it probably isn't worth watching in the first place.

We're only 2 episodes in, but so far I think I like season two better than the first season. Definitely not a show for multitasking.

Looking forward to the 4th and final season of The Killing that Netflix resurrected. I know they lost most of their audience with the protracted first two seasons, which is a shame, because the third season was brilliant. Peter Sarsgaard was amazing. I expect that Joan Allen will be a great addition to the cast in season 4.

I didn't realize that a final season of The Killing was going to be on Netflix. Season 1 and 2 were up and down, but you're right in that season 3 was very good.
