Its off to a great start. I like it better than homeland so far. No surprise there.

Thanks, I will try it.

Looks like the reviews have been positive for the most part.

It was picked up for a second season.

I have enjoyed The Americans. I like it, but it definitely isn't as good as Homeland IMO. I think it's more "low key" and less action than Homeland. Solid all around, but perhaps the difference to me is the intensity brought by the actors on Homeland. Glad to hear it got picked up for a second season.
It seems like I could not watch TV or open a newspaper without seeing something about Girls or its creator Lena Dunham. So I watched what seems to be to most talked-about episode to date, called "One Man's Trash". I realize I'm not exactly the target demographic for this show but I have to say, I was not impressed. The much-ballyhooed writing was weak and her acting is mediocre at best. IMO this show is getting buzz for all the wrong reasons. Has anyone else seen any episodes? Thoughts?

So far it’s the same exact show as No Reservations, but he can just go to places he was not allowed to before like Myanmar. Really enjoyed the episode about k-town last night. We have eaten at a few of those places.

Finished watching Southland this weekend. What an awesome show. Hope it stays on the air.

Suits is the best show on tv right now, next to White Collar maybe. Harvey Spector makes me want to wear a 3 piece suit every day.

I just can't handle that you're saying this is better than Mad Men, Game of Thrones, or Breaking Bad. But perhaps that's because those aren't currently running, but Breaking Bad returns in two weeks. But I will watch.

I think so, he did say "best show on tv right now". Suits's crown might be contested when Breaking bad returns. Also Dexter is slowly building momentum.

That aside, White Collar is becoming trivial lately IMO, and quality varies on an Episode basis. It's a show they should have ended on a high note.

Caught up on a few shows from the 2nd season over the last couple of nights. I still enjoy it, but the new show seems to be less focused on food then before which is a slight bummer. The New Mexico episode was interesting. Some of the views look absolutely incredible. I've been to Santa Fe for business and I didn't like the look of the city so I wish I would have had time to drive out of town to check things out more. Hopefully next time.

Looking forward to the Copenhagen episode.

Been watching Low Winter Sun on AMC and Broadchurch on BBC America. LWS has some potential. Feel reminds me a little of The Wire (though not as good as of yet anyway). Broadchurch I'm enjoying quite a bit.

Liked Broadchurch quite a bit. David Tennant and Olivia Colman were both excellent.

I couldn't get past the first 2 episodes of LWS. Seemed too contrived to me, and I didn't give a hoot about any of the characters.

The Bridge developed quite nicely through the whole season, and they've set up a number of stories that will carry over to Season 2.

Of the recently launched US cable series, I thought Ray Donovan was the best. John Voight was brilliant, as was James Woods (although he was only in a handful of episodes towards the end). Great cast all around. And fun to see Michael Apted direct an episode.

The first episode of Season 4 of Eastbound & Down was a disappointment. I think the series may have overstayed its welcome.

I'm also about to start watching a new Brit series - Peaky Blinders - that's getting great reviews in the UK. A British gangster drama set in 1920s Birmingham, starring Cillian Murphy (the Scarecrow in Batman Begins and TDKR) and Sam Neill:
