I wasn't too enamored with the second episode either personally, but the third episode was very strong...I'm finally getting into it.

the return of Gannicus brought a complete turn around imo. kickass episode! Bow

Agreed! This season has finally and officially turned solid.

With that said, I'll still say that it's a tragedy the original Spartacus actor passed away so young, and had to be replaced. This new guy just doesn't have the same presence IMHO.

I don't know if that show will ever get old for me. Big Grin one of my fav's.

Spartacus is cool this year... but I'm not too keen on the new guy so far. Not that he is bad, just doesn't the same presence to me as the original or Gannicus. I was wondering, did they plan to bring Gannicus back, or was it to boost ratings a bit?
I watched the season premiere of The Killing last night. I liked it more than I remember liking the first season. Stilll don't love it, but I will probably keep watching. I did realize in watching last night that I didn't actually see the final episode in season 1 (which is good because what I thought was the finale I thought was a terrible way to end the first season). Thankfully, On Demand has the entire first season, so I can go back and watch the actual finale.

The actual finale was a terrible way to end last season. I did watch last nights episode but I dont know if I will continue. I thought it was a great murder mystery last year but now its heading down the governmental conspiracy route and that just doesnt interest me that much.

Never fails to impress me. With several subpar seasons of some of my favorite shows over the last year or so, Californication delivered as always...and may be the most consistent at doing so for me.
The wife and I have really taken to the new Magic City series on Starz.

I've long been a fan of Spartacus on their network, but have felt it appeals to a more niche crowd, and with that said, have not quite put Starz on the map for top-tier premium original programming.

Magic City has delivered, and then some thus far...and to what I feel is a far more broad audience. I think this show puts Starz remotely on the map with HBO and Showtime for original programming...though even with that said, they're surely still a distant third.

Watching Battlestar Galactica on Netflix and enjoying it quite a bit. Hard to believe this was made for the channel who brought us Sharktopus.

Nice, spo. It is allegedly a very very good series and I envy you. Unfortunately I will never have the luxury to enjoy this one. The series was mostly filmed where I attended university. That weird feeling seeing some Top-Secret Galactic Base on TV knowing it's actually where you used to grab a sandwich and nap in between lectures everyday... Frown

Is anyone watching The Newsroom?
Watched the first 2 episodes and we like it. I’m not a big Sorkin fan generally, but I have liked the dialogue and the characters so far. Hope Sorkin doesn’t go too far left and get all preachy. Jeff Daniels is really great and this is a perfect role for him and Olivia Munn is super hot.

You are right. It is a great show (so far into Season 1). Plus that doctor dude's "mind f*ck" scenes are quite hilarious.

Good call, Gundum. I like it when he gets all into the sex when someone is trying to have a conversation with him. LOL

Even more of a mind F is sending in that duplicate pilot Sharon to meet up with the navigator who gave up his seat for that weasel Baltar. Wicked cylons.
Airplane Repo.

Theres about 5 or so episodes and its interesting to watch them approach a variety of repo cases. Whether its a 4 passenger plane in a rural airport to a jumbo airliner its amazing how these guys have to know all the regulations inside and out to the get the job done quickly. The guy obviously is doing pretty well with his own airport and jets.

I have not seen this one.
There was another repo show where they repo'd a small plane and got all kinds of sh!t from the cops and Homeland Security. The guys on the ground didn't have the proper papers when the cops showed up (the guy in the plane had them), and commandeering an aircraft is a huge federal offense, especially post 9/11.

Glenn, are you still watching Newsroom?
Yep. Haven't watched the last one yet though. You?
