Halfway through S2. Not quite as good as S1, at least at halftime, but definitely very, very good. Beautifully shot, well cast, and enough historical accuracy to make it believable. Lithgow is good as Churchill (although physically the resemblance is a stretch for me). Claire Foy as QEII does a very good job.

I had no interest in this series until a friend insisted that I give it a go. Glad I did.

I am binge watching The Vietnam War, PBS 10 episode 18 hour production. I am through episode 3 and have found it incredibly well done.

Watching it thanks to a coworker. I am not american and was really not up to speed on the war.

My first ever trip to south east asia and Hanoi is upcoming in early January. I did not watch it because of the trip but i am certainly glad to be watching it and have this history lesson.

I'm 7 episodes in myself and enjoying it immensely, though finding it harder to watch with each episode. Great history lesson though, as you say.

Episode 6 is the best so far, while I learned something important I'd heard before in Episode 7 and can only imagine how history would have changed if that tidbit of information was made public at the time.

Many (most?) young Americans know nothing of the awfulness of that war.
The Comedy Network has been running a Big Bang Theory marathon over the past few days, which mrs bman and I have enjoyed immensely. We've already seen most of the episodes over the years but as the show is in its 11th season, there are many we've missed or forgotten.

This has to be one of the most consistently funny sitcoms ever - we've laughed out loud so many times and the writing and comic timing are spot on. Perhaps we and others enjoy it so much because we all know someone like one of the main characters - or are like one of them ourselves!

New TV allows easy access to Amazon TV so looking forward to binging American Gods .

How does that work??? Confused

Pay for an Amazon Prime subscription. 30 free trial, and then it's $79 CAD/year. You get Amazon Prime Video, Prime Music (streaming service), and free 2-day shipping on most of your Amazon orders.

Most new TVs or set top boxes include the Amazon Video app.
I finally took the plunge and watched the first two seasons of Game of Thrones. Yes, it is an incredible show. I wanted to keep going but the software on the HBO on Demand is not functioning properly, so I have to wait to begin watching Season 3.

This then allowed me to switch to Netflix and Season 3 of Narcos. I thought that with the basic plot line of the first two seasons resolved (no spoiler here) that the show would suffer. In contrast, it is better this season and I cannot wait for Season 4.

Netflix. I missed Dave. Re: first episode, I miss both of them.

I enjoyed the Obama interview, and although the portion with John Lewis and the civil rights flashbacks were well done, I would have liked to hear more from the interviewee. Although certainly not his biggest fan, I was struck how... presidential he sounded compared to the Fanta Menace.
