I've gone through the 1st two episodes and despite the sometimes grim nature, I've enjoyed it greatly. They did a nice job setting the stage by describing the history in the region. Very well done so far.

Just getting into The Handmaid's Tale.

The first three have me interested.

I've done about 26 hours of flying in the last couple of weeks so I blew through the first 2 seasons of Billons. Entertaining and easy watch. Not the move believable in parts but good enough to keep going.

Started Westworld. Strange but interested to see where it goes.

Some dark soccer mom shit, but this is pretty good.

Stranger Things. It's back! Now to try and be patient, and not binge too fast.

It's taking me longer to get through this than I originally planned. Fantastic and well done so far. What a mix of emotions you get hearing the individual stories. I just finished part 4 and am being reminded of the books I've read by some of the POW's featured. This has been pretty powerful to watch so far.

I've been enjoying the first few episodes of Stranger Things. Nicely done. Good directing and excellent acting job especially by the kids.

Well... so much for restraint. :laugh cry: All done. This series was like a bag of Pepperidge Farm Milano Double Chocolate Cookies. Once the bag was opened, the cookies' fate was sealed. Wonderful!

Not sure if there's a plot device for a Season 3, but would welcome seeing anything else by the Duffer Brothers. Never paid much attention to Wynona Rider, but she was very, very good in this. The kids were just great, especially Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven.

If you have Netflix and don't watch this, you're a big dummy.

If the one penned by the daughter of one of the POW's, then no. Dick Stratton was one whose autobiography I read for sure as well as a few others. This would have been mid 80's or so.

Apparently it was the last season in any case. And so far shooting has only been suspended while the producers consult the cast and crew on how to proceed.

New season of Stranger Things. Nice to watch the kids grow up, and the new characters are compelling. Not the slam dunk season one was, but very very good. Agreed with PHaze's dummy statement.
On a side note, I was at an appearance by MBB several months ago, and she could not have been more gracious and kind to her fans. Classy kid.

It does sound like the dam has burst with lots of water still to flow out. We will find out how much of a cesspool that Hollywood is, I imagine this will hurt the box office.

I watched the first 4 episodes of The Handmaid's Tale - which is a dystopian U.S. in the near future. It's pretty good.

To watch the rest, I have to spring for $20 on Amazon for it. Not sure if I want to.

PH, regardless of your personal feelings for Spacey (despite personal shortcomings an excellent actor), House of Cards is a great show. You are into politics and live in DC, so you should be able to relate.

Now there are stories of Spacey harassing young men on the House of Cards set.

Just be aware, that like most shows in the 60's and 70's, there'll be no final wrap up.

Agent and publicist have dropped Spacey.

I feel there's a difference between "unwanted" advances vs predatory abuse of someone in a lesser position.

It seems alot of folks are coming out with random, I got an unwanted come on from xxxx and therefore it was abusive. It detracts against the real issue of folks who have been abused by someone in greater power.

It just shows you why more and more folks are just sitting on the internet for relationships. Who wants to go to an social outing and meet someone if they might get in trouble for it

Definitely check out Lie to Me. We have been binge watching it for quite a while. We don't want it to end to we try to watch movies in between episodes from time to time.

My wife and I have been watching a lot of Live PD lately. Revives the enthusiasm I used to have for C.O.P.S. Amazing how many idiots and liars they have to put up with.
