Here we go again. Almost a guaranteed strike effecting current TV series as it has in the past. While the strikes definitely hurt shows like Battlestar Galactica however, Aaron Paul's character, Jesse, would probably have not made it to a second season of Breaking Bad without the 2007/2008 strike.

Here's to more Gong Show remakes.

The possibility of a strike has moved up in the last week.

I've been enjoying Homeland. The pace is much slower than previous seasons, but the plot lines and themes are intriguing. I agree that MP and FMA are great to watch.

Patinkin is so immersed in the role now, I forget that it's actually Patinkin. It's hard to reconcile "Saul" with the real Patinkin - the actor/singer. It's not just his look with the heavy beard, glasses and thinning hair. It's his whole demeanour with the controlled tone of voice, the squint and the often pained expressions.
Watched the first 3 episodes of The Tunnelon DVD. I enjoyed The Bridge, so I thought it was time to check out this version. Obviously similarities but also very good. I like Clemence Poesy quite a bit in general, but so far I think I like the actress who played the role in the U.S. version a bit more. At some point I'll probably check out the Swedish (or is it Norwegian) version too.
Fargo - Season 3

The first season with Billy Bob Thornton was very good. I thought the second season was a mess; I tried a few times but couldn't get through it all.

This third season is the best yet. Ewan McGregor, David Thewlis and Michael Stuhlbarg are so much fun to watch. They disappear into the characters (McGregor into two characters).
Z Nation: **1/2

Walking Dead finally wore me out, and I like zombie stuff, so gave this a go. The characters are more likable and nobody's an idiot like in WD, most stories wrap up neatly each episode, and there are some good laughs. Sure there are some gruesome parts (one episode involving hookers and cannibals was pretty dark), but it doesn't take itself too seriously overall.

Check it out if you like the genre.

Finished episodes 4-7, and I think overall I like this version more than the U.S. It just seems to be a bit more cohesive and the plot is allowed to "breathe" a bit more.

Twin Peaks: The Return - I love it.

I'm one of the few people I know who liked Season 2 of the series as much as Season 1.

I'm only 3 episodes in to the new series (need to watch 4 and 5 this weekend) and it is hands down the most bizarre and surreal thing ever on TV. Especially episode 3. Sheer craziness.

I would have liked to have seen more of the original cast return - Sheriff Truman (Michael Ontkean), Donna Hayward (Lara Flynn Boyle) and her parents, Audrey Horne (Sherilyn Fenn), Norma Jennings (Peggy Lipton). And it's odd that some characters both old and new apparently only appear in fleeting cameos, e.g. Richard Beymer / Benjamin Horne, David Duchovney, Ashley Judd, Meg Foster, Richard Chamberlain, Jim Belushi, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Michael Cera...

BTW: possibly the greatest show ever on television is The Americans. You'll be hooked by season 3, though you can also start there if you wish. The past three seasons have been beyond mesmerizing.

Are u enjoying the most recent one? I felt that one was way below the level of the others.

Mrs. S and I concur. It seemed to meander aimlessly. Plot lines were introduced and then were dropped. Characters came and went. Like it was plotted by someone with ADD.
