Keep thinking I was going to watch Any Given Sunday .

Too late, already canceled. Don't think I would have enjoyed the show per se, but did plan on watching to see what I thought. Must have been dreadful.
It was pretty bad. I watched parts of a few episodes and Bill just seemed awkward as a host. I think he should just stick to writing and the podcast.

I thought he was ok, but some of his guests choices were bad ideas. Boring. No show host should let Ben Affleck do a rant on their show either.

I didn't care for his Measure C commentary. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RS7KL84H1DM

I agree 1000% with him on measure c.
The best overlooked show is Mozart in the Jungle which put out its third season which as of my viewing two episodes continues to be great and features the unbelievably sexy Monica Bellucci.

For me the big news is the new Netflix show starting next week The OA. Created by the oh so good looking, smart and creative, Brit Marling. It should be very interesting.

We'll see - we have a very hard time watching any legal shows

There's enough non-legal action to keep you entertained, methinks...

Well... I watched Episode 4 of Goliath last night. I'm finding the dialogue a little stilted and unnatural at times. This was a minor nit with me curing the first 3. The story line still has me engrossed, though.

I watched the full season this past weekend on my flights to and from NY. I thought it was pretty good and an easy watch. Perfect for a long flight. I totally forgot about Tania Raymonde since she was on Lost. She is beautiful.
Just watched a news story about this series in which several people who knew the Queen and Prince Philip in their youth say much of it is BS. For example, he never resented that she was his monarch, he was always confortable with the fact that she was Head of State and he was a mere prince. Also lots of mistakes in terms of timelines, medals displayed, etc.

On the other hand, it is not a documentary.......

I've wondered how accurate the portrayals are.
Two top notch foreign dramas now on Netflix:

Fauda: an Israeli production, "the show is about a team of Israeli undercover operatives called mista’arvim, the term used for Israeli agents dressed like Arabs, who are trying to capture Abu Ahmed, a notorious (and fictional) Hamas terrorist."

Nobel: a Norwegian production about Norway's military involvement in Afghanistan and the aftermath in Norway of certain military events in Afghanistan.

Perfect timing, thanks sunny. I have a number of flights looming.

Binged through the OA. Entertaining.
Semi-binged "Sneaky Pete" over the past 5 days. It's on Amazon Prime.

Created and produced by Brian Cranston, who also has a supporting role. Canadian Graham Yost was also involved.

Starring Giovanni Ribisi with a great supporting cast.

A whole lot of fun with half a dozen intertwined plots. Starts off slowly - and we weren't sold on it based on the first two episodes - but it progressively gains speed like an out of control locomotive. It's a big Fargo-like towards the end, and there were a few plot points that were explained away rather quickly, but still highly recommended.
I'm kind of overwhelmed with the amount of old TV stuff that I can get my hands on. We haven't finished The Twilight Zone (we're in season 3), and haven't finished even season 1 of Mission Impossible (I had forgot that seasons of old TV shows had like 30 episodes), and now I've started on I, Claudius.

I remember I, Claudius being better. Hopefully it will get better. Right now it's just interesting to see lots of actors that I know from subsequent other things.
I am enjoying right now. They do a really good job of getting tense situations going.
