We had dinner there last month with Marta Rovira, an owner of Mas d'en Gil. She brought along a bottle of the 2004 and a bottle of the 2005 Coma Blanca. Tasting notes are posted in the tasting notes section.

This is a small, outstanding restaurant. I looked at the wine list, though we didn't need it. It was well-selected and fairly priced for Barcelona. We all had the tasting menu, which I'd highly recommend. The dishes consisted of many unusual combinations that worked beautifully. The tables are well-spaced and the rooms have alcoves which lead to the feel of a private dining room. Very highly recommended.

I'm not sure that BYO is allowed. Marta Rovira arranged the dinner and, as a winery owner, I guess she has certain privileges. The wine list was fine and fairly priced. Restaurant wine prices are better in Spain than in much of Europe. They are far higher in England and Scotland.

I'd urge you to also consider La Dama and Botafumeiro.

Board-O, we are not looking for BYO per se at all, and I will be picking your brain before our trip. Cool
