Perhaps the greatest football player ever to wear the Green and White at Michigan State. He will be missed.
I think my sister kinda sorta knew him a little. As I recall, she was a Freshman cheerleader when he was still playing (?--I'll have to ask her again).

My cousin was the tight end for Notre Dame in the legendary 10-10 1966 game. My father and I went down to the corner bar to watch the game in Color TV!! I was 11 years old...drank coke. On the first play Bubba said to my cousin "I'm gonna eat you today little white boy". My cousin goes about 6'3" and probably weighed about 230 at the time....not so little.

Perhaps the MSU-ND rivalry will be regaining a bit of its importance again this year.
