This is one of my favourite Brunello vintages. To me time will be the test however I believe this vintage has the potential to be as respected as the great 2006 and 2004 vintages.

Querce Bettina has long been a favorite of mine for their elegance and smooth but complex character. The 2010 however is different. More robust with character to burn, deep dark red fruits and great acidity. It needs more time and will be one of those wines you can monitor and taste over the next 20 years to enjoy and follow its evolution

I hope so. I have 2 bottles of this vintage. I like the wines but I’ve never been wowed by them. Hopefully you are correct in saying they need at least 15+ years to flower into something special.

Mimic. Have you tasted the ‘04 or ‘06 in the past year. I opened a bottle of both about 3-4 months ago and especially the ‘04 WOWed me.  I put those bottles in my top 10 brunelli of all time.
