Deep color, no fading at all. Closed nose at first, opens to floral notes of lilac(!).
Tastes jammy, like a blend between really ripe zin and some cab. Tannins are dusty and indicate substantial future ahead. Wonderful QPR at about $24.00. Definite buy.

Did you just buy this? I assume you got it a long while ago.

I think RawRed had a couple bottles of this, but his moldy cellar killed them.

I hope he doesn't read this TN, he might re-live the pain.

The 97s of this are presently available here, and they are very good.

The 96's have been in my cellar for a year now, Alejandro Fernandez is my favourite Spanish producer, however he has 'shipping' issues - possible heat problem, watch for corks bulging up through foils.
