What wine do you think is the most overpriced crap on the shelves?

Hands down, my vote has got to be for Fiole du Pape Chateauneuf du Pape NV

This Non-Vintage garbage is sold for $35CAD and tastes like a $5 Cotes du Rhone. If it wasn't for the sandblasted (I guess it makes the bottle look old) screwy shaped bottle, I'm sure it wouldn't sell at all.

$35 for a NV (????) CdP? Crazy!

ANY wine over $500 a bottle, NO EXCEPTIONS taken.

I was at a party the other night, and some non-wino's opened a Belvedere Merlot. The bottle wasn't off, but it was so bad that nobody touched it...and these are folks who were simply looking to drink alot. It was the 5th bottle of the evening with 6 people at the table, too!

My point...even free wine is bad sometimes.

Sounds like a high-class gathering. Smile

Are you trying to say you've never had 5 glasses of wine in a night?
