You have a better memory than I do, Java. I could not of guessed which wine I brought. Eek

Hope your bottle shows well.

W+A, that bottle was unforgettable -- easily one of the five best red wines I have tasted. You also brought a white Rhone as I recall. That whole evening was unforgettable.

Java,

Its time for an offline as I can match the 90 with 91,92 or 94 sitting my cellar.
At our November blowing-out-old-misfit wines pickup at an annual local retailer tasting:

12 X 2007 La Villa? Montepulciano $2.60/bt (decent structure, kinda thin, crowd pleaser)
12 X 2007 Shaw Emitor Shiraz (???) $8.25/bt (pretty nice with air, not overblown)
12 X 2007 Lake Chardonnay, Sonoma $7.75/bt (big fruity butterball for my sisters and other non-winos who come over)

Nothing stellar, but good QPRs for upcoming holiday entertaining/parties.

Java, I'm glad the wine was so memorable for you.

I have more, and hopefully we can share a bottle again.

I think you're probably right. Surprised something so good doesn't have an importer but then again there might be lots that we're not seeing here.

Steve's right, I bought the Quince Bettina at a wine shop in Montalcino. The 2004 is still available in several shops there for €45-50, but I cleaned out the last 3 bottles in the lowest priced (€41)one.

You can find various vintages of Vietti barolo in lots of places. I paid €71 for the 2005 Lazzarito.
