Should probably add some background info so you know some about me.

Raised with Gruner Veltliner and Riesling in Austria and residing in Ontario, Canada. Just got into training my palate for the finer things in life. So far still staying true to my background and enjoying the cold weather whites from the Bench. Working my way through all varieties to see what else would trickle my senses. I am however over the fruit forward Australian shiraz my wife loves so dearly.

In my second life I am an HVAC expert and was part of some major cellar projects and did my share of regular heating and cooling stuff. Of course I did install my own cellar system (cooling and humidification) which works wonderfully.

Looking forward to invigorating discussions and some hands on tastings with the locals.
PH, it's an even more interesting choice for a moniker given that "Reblaus" translates directly to "Phylloxera" (at least via Google Translate!).

Vinelouse, it's not at all surprising that someone who grew up on Gruner Veltliner and Riesling would not take a shine to Aussie Shiraz. Although these wines can be very high quality, they provide a very narrow expression of what good wine can be. Try to keep yourself open to other wines styles and you'll find the rewards.

Even with the occasional Aussie Shiraz! Smile
