Once again I see the TV commercial where a bunch of New Yorkers in a beautiful restaurant are enjoying the best pasta they have ever had. Then, what a surprise, the pasta is from Pizza Hut. So, is Pizza Hut Pasta the best it gets in New York? Say it isn't so. Wink

I've never had it since I never order from Pizza Hut. Way too many better pizza choices in Chicagoland. So if that pasta is the bomb, let us know New Yorkers.

Now I need to go pick up a cheese and sausage from Dominos and an Oscar Meyer hot dog with just ketchup.

Don't know about the pasta, but hate to say it, if I'm in BFWherever, and I really want pizza, I go with Pizza Hut over Domino's/Papa Johns/Lil' Caesars/Round Table/Shakeys/Straw Hat, or any other big, cheap chain.

That said, I'm sure their pasta is better than anything NYC has to offer! Wink
They did this test blind, in that the people in the ad had no idea that the pasta was from pizza hut..

chances are these people were tourists anyway, (at least not native new yorkers)

When I got to an italian restaurant, I know if the pasta is good when it is served el dente, this is the way that I like it. Most of the decent places serve it this way on request. Otherwise, I rarely go back. I doubt that pizza hut can make pasta el dente, chances are that it is frozen...

Mad Frown Frown Mad

Which one do you work for?

NONE...since there were no emoticons for puking that was the best I could do. Bottom line, I hate commercial pizza, might as well have a frozen one from the supermarket. If it is free, then maybe, but would I purchase, nope !
what would dinky know? last i heard, key lime isn't a pizza topping. Big Grin

I've only been to NY once so I'm certainly no expert, but I recall Carmines being amazing. (And even though it was 2 years ago, they were clearing out numerous vintages of Phelps Insignia for $100/bottle, which certainly helped me enjoy the meal further).

I know a ton of people who would eat cardboard with sauce and say "MMMMMMMM"

All New Yorkers.

What does that mean? Do I rely on the French to tell me what wines are good?

Dunder: the more Phelps you drank the more amazing the food got right? Smile (been there and can concur it's very good for family style) Downtown or Uptown?
