They list Romier Bonnes Mares....Sounds suspiciously off.... I never heard of Romier, have anyone? I actually called them to see if by any chance it was Roumier Bonnes Mares. She says it's Romier. Confused It's Bonnes Mares we're talking about. How come I never heard or Romier Bonnes Mares? And on top of it, nothing except this restaurant's listing comes up with mighty Google. Very intriguing.
jaydreb-- The markup of these wines isn't outrageous, but you aren't getting any bargains either.
You want Big reds? There are certainly some Shiraz, Cabs and blends that are in that department. Depending on what you're ordering, the Seghesio Zin and the Peter Howland Shiraz look like winners. There isn't alot of wine on this list that I would turn down.
As a restaurant wine buyer, I can say there are many great "restaurant" wine prices on this list. That being said, you should absolutely buy the Clarendon Hills Moritz Syrah (A41)for a huge red wine at a huge bargain (if $72 isn't too much)--and buy a bottle to take home at their wine shop I read about. I'm jealous.
