Need Help: Wine Shop in Perth Australia

Perth is about 3,000 miles from me so I can't tell you which one to see, but I can tell you which ones to avoid. Avoid the wine shops that are owned by the big supermarket chains. Prices are pretty good, but the range is poor.

Where will your friend be staying? If they will be at a hotel in the city center, someone at the hotel should have some recommendations. If your friend has a spare day, a trip to the Margaret River wine area would be recommended. They have some wonderful wines there, including one of Australia's best Chardonnays, Leeuwin Estate Art Series. Perth is more laid back than the other major Aussie cities.
