I enjoy pasta with sun dried tomatoes, capers, and artichoke hearts. It's finished in a light lemon-butter and is outstanding.

I am having a hard time finding the right wine to match. I have tried a few pino gris, but I think Chardonnay might be too heavy. Any suggestions? Cheers.


Edit...perhaps the sun dried maters are making it hard...they are kind of tart.

Actually coach, a good, rich Chard wouldn't be a bad choice as you'll most likely pick up lemon and butter notes in the wine as well. The concentration in the dried tomatoes needs something stiffer that the average Pinot Gris, IMHO.

You might also try a Vermentino (Antinori's is always a great choice), as well as some of the more flavorful Italian Sauvignons.

Holy cow is right...I call it "pregnant pasta" for an obvious reason. We have an agreement, that I can still drink if I cook to all her cravings. So don't look a gift horse in the mouth. I'll take what I can get.
