6 years seem to be the Tier 1 players although Tier 1 includes a lot of players. Gary Payton, Alonzo Mourning, and Karl Malone were all in 6 years.

Reggie Miller made it in 8.

Wasn't Naismith that Canadian guy who invented basketball?

I also heard Canada invented hockey, but you can't tell that by looking at the past NHL champions recently.
