Candidates must meet the following requirements in order to be eligible for Enshrinement into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame (hereafter BHOF): Player: A player must be fully retired for four seasons before being eligible for Enshrinement.

Isiah Thomas' last season was 1994 and was inducted in 2000.

Dumars last season was 1999 and was inducted in 2006.

Stockton - 2003/2009
Jordan - 2003/2009

6 years seem to be the Tier 1 players although Tier 1 includes a lot of players. Gary Payton, Alonzo Mourning, and Karl Malone were all in 6 years.
