When opening a bottle to let it breathe for a few hours before drinking do you do so and leave it in the wine cellar or take it out and leave it at room tempature?
Depends on the room temp, Mr Phoenix! I leave it at room temp, 65-70/ Others will leave it at cellar temp. Try it both ways and decide if you like one way better than the other. You can also leave it in the cellar for part of the time and then take it out.
By the way, we just returned from a trip that began in Phoenix/Scottsdale. 116 degrees the first day.
Thanks for your thoughts. We just had our cellar built and have been out of town so much we have not really opened too much since. I opted today to open and leave in the cellar for part of the time and just took it out into our kitchen. We will see how that goes....
Hope your trip to the heat went well. This summer has been a bit more miserable weatherwise than usual.
