Maple Marinated Flank Steak
1 - 1.5 lb Flank Steak
3/4 Cup Maple Syrup
1/4 Cup Vinegar
2 tblspn soy sauce
1 clove garlic (minced)
Combine all marinade ingredients.
Put steak into a re-sealable plastic bag, and pour in marinade.
Squeeze out all the air, and turn to distribute the marinade.
Place in fridge overnight.
Remove from fridge 30 mins. prior to grilling
Grill steak on direct high hear for 4-5 mins. per side for med. rare (depending on steak thickness)
While the steak is grilling, boil and reduce the marinade.
Remove from grill, let stand 5 mins. Slice against the grain on a bias. Top w/ sauce if desired.
We served it w/ grilled zucchini and yellow squash w/ Altesino Olive Oil, kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Since this was marinated in maple syrup, what is the meat suppose to taste like? My flank steak has been marinating for 48 hours now and will be grilled tonight.
