Louisville a few weeks ago on their way to HH. The lineup of wines that was consumed that night was quite amazing. No notes were taken. Here is what we had in order.

2002 Argyle Extended Tirage - Certainly one of the top Champagne being made stateside

1995 Blain Gagnard Batard Montrachet - The best aged chard I have had in a LONG time.

2009 Bello Family Vineyards Marsanne - Outstanding example of the varietal

2009 Williams Selyem Weir Vyrd Pinot Noir - True balance with a lasting finish

2004 Bello Family Vineyards Napa Cab - Second time I have had this. Many years still left in the tank

2003 Chateau Pichon Longueville Lalande - Showed great on this night. Wish I had some of this in the cellar.

2007 Staglin 25th Anniversary Collection Cab - Major full bodied and tannic and classy. Hold for another 3-4 years before opening again.

2007 Chappellet Pritchard Hill Cab - More approachable than the Staglin. This wine regardless of vintage has always been good to me.

2007 Shafer Hillside Select - I cannot keep my hands of this stuff. The best of the 2007's. Full bodied and class in a glass from beginning to end.

2008 SQN The Duel Granache - My first SQN red and an EBA to boot. Unreal concentration with amazing acidity.

2008 SQN The Duel Syrah - The Best American made Syrah I have ever had. Simply put amazing. Prefered this to the Grenache but barely.

1998 Tokaj Classic Winery Aszu Essencia - An amazing example of Hungarian dessert wine. 60 Second finish.

Allred and his bride are truly very generous and I am glad they finally made it to my neck of the woods. A great time was had by all.
