LeMans - Steve McQueen and Porsche 917's. Doesn't get much cooler than that. The best racing movie ever made.

Awesome. I love watching the sifting of gears around the 3-4 minute spot in the video.
Thanks ML!

What a great movie!!!! It's not masterpiece theatre, but entertaining and humorous.

The Informant! - I really enjoyed this. Good performance by Matt Damon in a pretty funny role.

Good to hear - have this on DVD but have not watched yet. Waiting for rainy day
The American.
Extraordinary Measures. Thought this was pretty bad - Brendan Fraser is just too hard to take serious.

Check out Gods and Monsters. It's a tour de force for Ian McKellen, but Fraser plays a good part, too.
My favorite comedy, Groundhog Day.

The Extra Man. Kevin Kline at his best. Quirky and funny. Great script for Kline to play with.

Remind me the next time we enjoy wine together. I have a story to share about this movie.
Road to Perdition.
I said the very moment the movie was over the first time I saw it, and I will say it again after seeing it again on my TV, this is the finest cinematography I have ever observed, and without debate.
Edward Hopper in the form of cinema.

I'll be very interested to hear what you have to say. When I first read the reviews of this movie I thought I'd never enjoy it with that ridiculous premise of a man reliving the same day over and over. Since the days of Second City, I've thought Harold Ramis was incredibly brilliant and he gets as much credit from me as does the brilliant performance of that comedic genius, Bill Murray. In my opinion, Bill Murray was the brightest star arising from SNL.

Best. Comedy. Ever.
Nothing else even comes close. Duck Soup is my #2 but a mile away. Perfect, perfect comedy. Genius.

Agreed. I love Nathan Lane and Matthew Brodrick, but Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder were comic geniuses of epic proportions.

As usual, we agree. I have loved this movie since I was 13 years old and saw it at camp for the first time. Still as funny today as when I saw it the first time

By comparison, he made Tom Hanks's character from Cast Away seem overweight.
